For the aphantasia test, as someone who is a 5, it is really strange learning that people can see images in their heads. Growing up I always assumed that everyone else "imagined" things the same way I did. If I want to recall something mentally it comes up as a type of script or text, I use references and past knowledge instead of mental imagery because I can't create any type of mental image.
Agreed. I kinda get flashes of images when recalling memories but absolutely nothing for "improvised" visualization not tied to a specific memory. The thought that people just have that all the time is still wild to me.
For me, I don't stop at 5, imagining the apple, the color, the variation in the skin, but I keep going on to imagine biting into it and tasting the sweet, juicy flavor and texture as I bite into it.
@@rpgaholic8202I did the same thing but I imagined the taste and texture of those small, trash, mushy apples from school lunches. I regret going too far. My mouth feels terrible now.

My hair genes were very strong, so I started losing hair around early 20s, it ain't worth trying to fight it. While you can change your fate with some things, it's sometimes better to just accept you can't control everything, just use it as an opportunity to learn to let go. Everything has a season, pretty much nothing last forever.
Minoxidil pills work, but they dilate your blood vessels which forces your heart to pump harder which can weaken your heart. If you use minoxidil and you start feeling chest pains stop taking them immediately and make and appointment with your dermatologist. Now, finasteride pills are a good alternative, but it can cause erectile dysfunction. And for hair loss in general, the pills work way better than the topical treatments, but the pills can have more serious side effects.
It is not that the DESIGNERS of the elevators were afraid of 13, it is that the building (usually a hotel) wanted to keep the full clientbase available rather than lose those scared of 13
I just recently read about a discovery that 2-deoxy-D-ribose (the sugar in DNA) works just as good as an induction medication, on mice at least, as minoxidil when used topically to treat hairloss. There would be essentially no side-effects. It'll be interesting to see where that, and glutamic acid (supposedly helps promote hair growth) will be going, especially since these are 2 relatively cheap things to make. Also, a tip my doctor gave me albeit I never did it (I just started shaving my head), is that if you want to use finasteride, but your drug plan doesn't cover it as a cosmetic (usually a 1mg dose), than ask the Dr to give it to you as a 4mg prostate drug for your "prostate issue", then you can break it into 1mg with a pill cutter.
5:41 Dude just told me that if I poke holes in my scalp, hair will grow in those spots like I'm using a fucking seed dibber. Can't wait to scalp myself and grow one big hair.
Huh... That's weird. I never realized it before, but when I _imagine_ colors, it's almost always the word until I close my eyes. Like, if I imagine a "red apple", it's like monochrome until I close my eyes.
There is no real way to test or diagnose aphantasia because the definition is too loose. So you can 'self diagnose' but its unknown if it should even be considered a 'condition' since it doesn't really affect anything psychologically
been a pen and paper artist for my whole life every time aphantasia comes up i forget I'm not a two or three but a five... blank; nothin' only thing i see is the red glow percolating from behind my eyelids and conceptualizing what an apple is like. feels weird realizing you work in a purely visual medium but you lack the ability to visualize images in your mind it's like learning you have no legs and have been levitating around your whole life, like something's missing
When imagine something i cant see the object, but I can feel, taste, smell, and hear it. The feel, taste, and smell are all VERY muted, but I can hear my imagination as well as I can hear real life.
It would be cool if half the effort put into weird, occult rituals to keep your hair was actually put into body normativity. Like, yeah. You're probably gonna lose your hair, but who cares? If it really upsets you just look into getting a hair piece.
To anyone who may ever be worried about the guy in the Rice Krispies commercial, don't be. Taliesin Jaffe is an immortal, he's fine.
Sadly not in every campaign of Critical Role but he is fine! (RIP Mollymauk)
@@m4thmann370 does a hell of a lot of damage though

Random Matt Mercer sighting in the last clip .. well second to last.
Critical role cast. You had the voice of Trunks from DBZ and Elle from Last of Us also in the clip
Gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised to see a Critical Role Behind the Scenes clip at the end. Made me smile!
Started losing my hair at 35, said fuck it and just shave my head now, bald gang

I'm a 3/4 on the horse picture one. It was pretty bonkers finding out people actually saw crystal clear images in their heads.
Thanks for the video, Nagzz. Always funny and entertaining to watch. ❤
6:50 As soon as he mentioned essential oils I knew _for sure_ that it was full of shit

6:54 Do NOT apply raw undiluted essential oils on your skin/scalp it will irritate your skin
