The reason why in app mode the heading tape and speed and alt indications are moving to the middle is, because the idea is that you use the seat up/down switch to raise your seat so you can just about see the pitot tube at the tip of the nose. This gives much better view for landing. Also, because you are then looking through the hud at a higher angle, you will now see the symbols (heading tape, etc,...) at the top of your HUD. Try to move your seat up, you will see what I mean. The landing position of the seat it way to high for take off, cruising or fighting. I personally move my seat up as soon as I select APP mode.

Hey Cap, at 6:49 when you start about APP(approach)-mode; you can also raise (& lower) your seat untill the IAS, HDG-Tape and ALT are in the top of the HUD again from your higher viewpoint; now you can see more runway over the nose since your Mirage has quite a high AOA during landing (kinda like the Concorde had to lower it's nose to see the runway).
Once landed, the HUD defaults again, and you lower your seat again. I've got mine bound to PageUp and PageDown.

And to comment at 12:30; i believe the reason the IAS & ALT move down is that most likely during Magic employment you'll be in a dogfight (i.e. Fox2's are typically used in close), and twisting and turning behind your bogey.
All those big numbers would obscure the view where your target would most likely be (above your flightpath-indicator), hense it moves the numbers down and out of the way.

I'm fairly sure the issue you're seeing with the ILS is that DCS only has the ILS powered on the active runway.
As in: the runway the in-game ATC considers active for a given airfield.

USE THE AUTOPILOT. USE THE "trim" TAB TO SELECT ROLLOUT HEADING ON THE TAPE & HANDS OFF. She will take you there using the appropriate bank angle. In the Mirage 2000C, guns and magic are HOTAS. The virtual r/w is NOT USABLE because it is INS related and could drift by a mile or two. If you have a GPS, things are easier.

how do you go back to basic nav mode? i already turned master arm off but i still see the gun hud

The same problem here. Bug maybe?

It seems you need to press the selected weapon button on PCA panel (e.g. 530) when you want to see NAV points again. Which is confusing when there is no such weapon any more say when you have launched both of yours two 530s. When you have no 530s anymore, then there is no "530" on PCA (its place is blank) but in order to switch this weapon off (and see the NAV markers on HUD) you need to deselect it as if you had some left. Hope this makes sense ;-).

Hi.. If you are in any submode(gun, vertical scan, etc.) press the button: HOTAS CNM neutral(PCM SELECT), then press the button below the 530(may be blanked, if u used them
already) on PCA(no 2).. Now you can select RD on PCA(press button 4) After that, press Weapons SystemCMD Deppress(button as you defined), then you will see the NAV infos on HUD again( distance, etc. if u have added waypoints) :)

Does anyone know what the number under TIR means when dogfighting? It likes to hang around 0,5 so on right below TIR

Well, what if BL starts flashing when I dive for drop in CCIP mode? I can't drop a bomb when it's flashing.

I may be incorrect, but I believe that the N on the waypoint hud symbology means « numéro » in French or number in English

      N is for nautical (mile).

Sherman states ILS is not working in this current build (2.5 openbeta)
I have tested today and can confirm ILS working as intended (2.5 openbeta)
Tested at Batumi, Kobuleti, Kutaisi, Senaki
As Lazyboot states in the comments....
To pick up the ILS signal you need to:
Approach the active runway of an ILS equipped airfield, dial in the correct ILS frequency, line up the ADI needles to form a cross.
    Cockpit setup varies between airframes
