Saw those 2 bands in early October of 2019 in Baltimore. In the USA divisiveness has been bad for a while and with these Covid restrictions this divisiveness has rapidly increased and people are going insane and watching and listening way too much of this divisiveness from the media and the politicians. We lost to much of our personal liberties, especially the ability to socialize with one another in person and the ability to go out and have fun like going to see live entertainment. Live entertainment is enjoyed by everyone no matter what differences we have as people and live entertainment, especially music has been such a great uniter of people. Getting back to being able to see live bands won't completely solve or ever solve the divisiveness in the USA or the world but it will help significantly in to getting people's minds off of the negativity that we are constantly getting from the media and the politicians from both the right and the left at least some of the time. Right now we have next to nothing with the Covid lockdowns to free people's minds from this negativity.
They have a lot of members, seen them live in Montreal. Great stage presence, sounds great and not a boring moment. To bad the Anna Murphy left the band, but she has awesome band now, check them out "Cellar Darling".
Christian Glanzmann ( he's the vocals and band creator ) he's the main voice of the band,aand almost 80% of all their songs he sings. Ladies are great, but this man - is magician \m/

They are freakin' amazing. I've seen them twice in 2012 and 2019. 2012 was an outside venue with a couple local bands, and then Varg, Wintersun, and Eluveitie as the main acts (lots of moshing). 2019 was with Gone in April, and Korpiklaani. That was an indoor venue but still awesome.
Amazing band, have seen them live also in Ireland they dont disappoint at all, unfortunately anna murphy has left the band along with one of the guitarists and the drummer they have started a band cellar darling they are incredible also, black moon, challenge, avalanche are awesome songs. Anna singer and hurdy gurdy player singing and screaming in eluveitie songs are quoate the raven, the call if the mountains is a beautiful song, and alesia also and thousand fold is another good one Great reaction guys. Give those songs a check out and cellar darling you'll be surprised 👌👌
Actually, most of their songs feature Chrigel's growling...the female lead songs are an exception. I was just listening to this CD on my breakfast run this am. And, as you can tell from this vid, Chrigel plays a mean tin whistle :)

Unfortunately anna murphy hurdy gurdy and female vocalist has left, also the drummer and one of the guitarists have also left those 3 have since started there own band called cellar darling and they also rock there amazing you should check them out. Eluveitie have a new female hurdy gurdy player and a separate new female vocalist who plays the harp I believe and theres also a new drummer and guitarist in the band now. But please go give cellar darling a check ex eluveitie members some song names, black moon, avalanche, challenge, burn, this is the sound. You wont be disappointed at all guys. Eluveitie has the best folk metal solos I have heard. Now it could be time to react to another folk influenced group again - Amorphis. Their last song/medley in Oulu concert 2006 was Magic and Mayhem / Black Winter day. Both songs in medley have influences from traditional Finnish folk songs, and include another feature distinct to Amorphis. Namely that solos include the same melody as the whole song and often melody continues on background even when solo ends.
In their earlier albums he's the lead singer and over the years they've been sharing lead roles depending on the song. As far as I know they usually have 6-9 people for recording, tours are different.
The introduction from Suzi is gold 0'34" ahah (i thought she was able to do a tone like that like a theacher for babies but better and ironic-the better way) . 0'38" Yeees Traviisss !I don't know how to write but i like the word Travis ahahah . 4'43"...I don't know them . Rewhatching the video it seems they are 7-8 , not less , only by the impressions . 5-15" to 5'34" See Travis expressions and Suzi expressions ahah ; amazing . 5'35"-5'41" Yeees Travis ! Great part of the song . The armonies of the guitars before that part were incredible like their rythm section . 5'44"-5'58" Suzi is happy :-) . The melodies are interesting with many intricate arrangements guys . So many talented people . This song is a musical experience , we can feel her , not only or tipically listen to her

Definitely check out some of their songs from Spirit, my favorites are "Uis Eluveitie", "Your Gaulish War", and "The Song of Life".
