- What do you do when you're 15 days behind in in your Creative Journal? Improvise!
Got off to a rocky start this month in April, but I think it's all going to come out fine. I walk you through the process as I make a BIG MISTAKE on my monthly pages, consider how I'll catch up, then plug into a weekly recap page (vs daily).
Thank you so much for joining me! Don't forget to "like" the video if you enjoyed it, and subscribe if you'd like to see more!

Your process will allow me to back journal based upon my photos- thanks for sharing. I am definitely an over-thinker and am hardest on myself 😂
I’ve been thinking for weeks about modifying my daily H&O into a weekly journal…thank you for giving me a format. Love it!
Yay! Go for it! Thanks for taking the time to let me know. 😊
Catherine Pooler has an amazing black ink
Good to know! I’ll have to check it out.
Really enjoyed you sharing your process. I’m still overthinking March. I just need to crack on 🤦♀️ Will look into the printing app. Few photos will certainly fill some space
I think I’m finally caught up now and it’s such a relief. I can feel the difference when I’m creating for fun or for catch up.
So happy to see another video from you! Enjoyed my morning coffee while watching you create! I have a few questions...What pen do you use to write over the washi? Is there a specific pen you use to write on the sticker paper. Tell me about stamping on the sticker paper...does it dry quickly? are there certain inks that work better than others? I love all of this! I use a Happy Planner in a very similar fashion, but I just LOVE the look of your journal! I may have to switch it up next year!
Thank you, Kelly!! 🥰 so the pen I use to write over the washi is an oil based Uni pen. It does dry pretty quickly. I give it a minute, but it doesn’t smear. Here’s a link to it on JetPens: bit.ly/3HoX0ZM
As far as inks on the clear sticker paper… Inky Black from SC and Archival ink from CTMH are my favorites. The new Memento is working well but sometimes I think it isn’t as crisp as the first two I’ve mentioned. I think bolder ink colors work best on the clear sticker paper because they seem to end up lighter on there. So if I start with say a blush pink, it barely shows. I have success with The Stamp Market inks. That’s just what I use most often so I make them work. I haven’t brand-tested a huge variety to see what’s best. ☺️ They do dry quickly, vs distress oxide inks or any pigment inks… those would take a while to dry. I stick primarily with dye inks. (Studio Calico, Catherine Pooler, Gina K and Pinkfresh Studios are other brands of dye inks that I’ve used with similar results). Hope that helps!! I think you’d love the paper in the Hemlock and Oak and it’s fun to work on their super minimalist pages!
@@plan2create thank you so much for the detailed answer, Julie! I think I've already decided that I'll be switching to a Hemlock and Oak next year. They are pricier than the Happy Planner and I just have never taken the plunge, but I just love what you create so much!
Love the printed pictures- do you have a particular sticker paper that you enjoy?
I have been using my clear sticker paper! I love how flat it is and it’s good enough quality! I buy it from Amazon:

Where did you get those month stickers? Never mind, they were stamps! Beautiful
Thank you!!
10:09 So how do you like the Memento ink?
It’s working great for me! 🎉😊
That word is sort of like “hug-uh”
Wait, the printer you use you can print 4x6 on sticker paper?
Yes!! 😂
@@plan2create mind blown!!! lol
@@susanwhite3729 I’m sure it would prefer I load the 4x6 photo paper but this works great for me. I also have a 4x6 tray in my larger canon printer and do the same there.
@plan2create I feel like an idiot that I didn't know you could switch out photo paper for label sticker paper!! I'm so glad you mentioned it in this video, you probably had in others and it just skipped over me! But thank you!
Have fun printing stickers!! 😂
Don’t they sell them for discs as well?
Yes, they do! They’re a smaller size (half letter or A5, I believe) and I really fell in love with this original size so I’m sticking with it.
It was a happy little accident!
