@@cadengreco no it was in one of the alcoves under the bleachers, storage for seats and gear used for football that doesnt play there anymore. The humidor for ball storage is under the right field side. As is one of the original John Deere tractors from 1968

A's fans are so much calmer, and nicer than ur average futbol/soccer fans, but I was still surprised they didn't do that stadium-wide for the last game. EDIT to add: and apparently he's lowballing players and team staff there the same way he did us, under his ownershiop they went from a top team to a bottom team, just like the A's. But soccer fans are dif, so they GET AT HIM there.
Man that’s awesome, I’ve been going to A’s games my whole life and have never been up on Mount Davis. To be at the coliseum that early before the game, and play catch on the field. Literal dream of mine.
Mt Davis was pretty much just open for Raider games. You might be young? But back in the day, for #OaklandRaiders games, Mt Davis was packed! Its so steep, it's scary... like basically 4/5 of the seats at chase center, where multiple ppl have fallen from. I talked to a (very large, very strong) security guard once who said he had to break up a fight up there... nightmare fuel! Anytime I'm up in the 300s im holding onto a rail, a seat, something.
Zack could save Oakland baseball with his love for the coliseum. By now MLB should realize how precious and important he is to baseball. Thank you from the Netherlands.

What a great video. I really appreciate it. I went to my first game at the Coliseum in 1972. I plan on flying in for a day game and back home this coming May 2024. One hell of a day trip. I need to come out and say goodbye to a stadium that meant so much to me. Raiders, A's, Oakland Invaders, Day on the Green Concerts not to mention the Warriors next door and several indoor concerts. Super cool that Dustin hooked up the exclusive access!!! Though definitely a valid decision to not count balls from it. I wonder if anyone has hit one up Mount Davis during BP. I know the roof of the top deck at Globe Life Park has been hit once or twice, but to hit one as far and as high as Mount Davis is definitely a task. (P.S. loving these later uploads! A nice treat before I go to bed!)

Very cool tour! I remember running the bases a couple times on kids days. We grew up as a family going to games here hailing from the Reno-Tahoe NV area. I still buy some for all of us to reunite once a year now with my one older sibling married and in CA. It will be tough to see them leave. So many memories, and Vegas is 3 more hours away. ☹️

Hey Zack another great video as usual! This has nothing to do with baseball but I had to comment on this. Recently I watched the documentary about your family's book store and wow what a cool video and what a phenomenal store. Going to NYC has been on my bucket list for a while because of the 2 baseball stadiums and other things but now I have to visit the bookstore because it looks AMAZING! My daughter graduates high school this June and I thought about taking her to NYC as part of her graduation present. Keep up the great work my friend 👍
Out of all the videos, this one may be my personal favorite. I love the behind-the-scenes stuff and if next year is the final year at the Colosseum, I will definitely be there one heck of a couch I got dizzy, just looking over the railing from the video.
The view from Mt. Davis is actually better than I imagined. It sure beats upper deck foul pole seats at Dodgers Stadium where I grew up. Thanks for giving us this rare view. The top of this section does suck in that it completely chops off more than half of the outfield, but where you enter is not too shabby.

I sat in Mount Davis around 2001 when the A’s played the Giants. This was during Barry Bonds home run chase and the coliseum was nearly sold out. You cannot see the outfielders when you sit up there because of the height

I was with Tom's people (band who are big baseball fans) and I told Dustin, hey man, you want to meet Tom? I guess he's a Rage fan, so we ended up hanging with everyone and had a blast in NYC - I'm sure he remembers it!
I hate Mt. Davis, and agree that it is "uniquely infamous in sports history." But it was way cool to see you and Dustin Hughes climb Mt. Davis, for the great views. OMG, you and Dustin playing catch on the field, and his throwing that ball to you, up the mountain. PS, I knew about Richard Bleier and you, but not Carlos Beltran, re the many balls thrown to you!

Thankfully, after the fall, I got back up and walked away. That’s true toughness, bravery, and sturdiness, especially with how much pain and discomfort I felt.
So sad what they did to this ballpark and now it’s a graveyard. There’s a reason ownership and fans have given up on it. It’s not suitable for baseball anymore.
I’d love to watch some coaches hit fungos to see if they could hit it out over Mt Davis. We had many fungo contests to hit the scoreboard and roof of the Astrodome
Admittedly I'm a Giants fan, but i feel real bad for what the A's fans and players are going through right now. I hope to get to at least 1-2 more games at the Coliseum before the A's do move to Vegas. the place may not be great, but it'll be one of those things you won't really appreciate before it's gone
It's just like the Pirates. Both have a great view to offer, but can't/won't fill the seats with a winning team. I wonder if Richard Blier (spelling?) is going to keep up with the friendly competition next time you see him? I know the last video I saw with him in it, he had asked about the record. Has this been a long friendly rivalry between the two of them? Or, is this something they both happen to ask when they see you?

Imagine spending a night at an As game. You can not only sit anywhere but you also get one or two free pet rodents as an optional bonus.

Admittedly I'm a Giants fan, but i feel real bad for what the A's fans and players are going through right now. I hope to get to at least 1-2 more games at the Coliseum before the A's do move to Vegas. the place may not be great, but it'll be one of those things you won't really appreciate before it's gone

It's just like the Pirates. Both have a great view to offer, but can't/won't fill the seats with a winning team. I wonder if Richard Blier (spelling?) is going to keep up with the friendly competition next time you see him? I know the last video I saw with him in it, he had asked about the record. Has this been a long friendly rivalry between the two of them? Or, is this something they both happen to ask when they see you?
