From what I've seen people talking online: the system now is that you win based on the % of the team total HP. For example: you have 3 characters and lost 1 of them, you lost 33% of you team total HP; Your opponent has 5 characters and you killed 2 he now has lost 40% of his team HP, making you the winner in the timeout.
I think wins should be health based, but instead of flat health, it should be percentage based, that way 5 man teams still have an advantage in health, which is kind of the point, but it isn't busted as currently you have 60% more total health, but if it's percentage based, more characters means each point of damage lowers the percentage by less, but it's not as big of a difference as flat health. Also, the point of the nerf to homing dash was that it was the ONLY way to approach someone before, the only alternative was to use instant transmission. Now there's a pro and con, and they added the new faster forward dash, which adds variety and new tech as people experiment. Plus it was nerfed because before you'd get looped to death by them homing dashing after a knockback and you couldn't block, then after a super counter they'd still have advantage and it would loop, now it can only loop once or twice and has a bigger cost since there is literally no defence against it after the knockback, you have to super counter.
Last patch I feel like you were able to ki blast and start a combo flawlessly. It feels like They added a pause to start a combo after a ki blast and it makes it damn near impossible To counter perception now

We can probably test it against NPC using yajirobe to let the NPC take a bar off, then run away the whole game and bean to see who wins (full health or damage done Edit: just finished the first fight and yea that settles the debate lol. Wrote the initial bit as I watched the first fight
You know what, i’m gonna test it today. 1vs1 with yajirobe and 5vs1 to end with something like 3 characters alive against 1 with 99% health to see if the 2 dead characters make me lose
@lesvideosduboncoin506 the win condition is HP, no testing really needed. If you go into training battle and check battle win conditions, it says whoever has the most HP wins. And in the case both have the exact same HP, the winner will be whoever hits first
I think the idea of taking time is a good solution, especially because you can escape for seconds and if the opponent's Ki runs out it will be GG, so the best solution really is to take time.

Maybe a good idea to promote 3 man teams could be a sistem were for example. Higher collective hp (1 point) More characyers alive (1 point per character) Collective dp is higher then enemy team that is alive (3 point) Damage dealt (1 point) To explain the idea 1. Makes sense for highest hp to be winning for example I have 3 characters they add up to 10 bars, and the enemy has 5 that add up to 12 (just saying numbers) then calculate the % of the left over hp bars of each individually, every lost bar Will be more costly for the lower number of bars, balances out by the damage higher dp can ditch out. 2. 5 man teams wouldnt be completly useless and the switch game would still be alive (would play well with the previos thing making them loose hp over time cause of the nerf on hp gain) 3.If I have a goku blue alive, and they have 2 characters left alive that dp adds to less then goku blue then I win a point, promote 3 man teams and using weaker forms of stronger characters. 4. Could cancel out the first point in the situación that you dealt a LOAD more damage but the constante switching and healing of a 5 man team made it so most the team is alive giving them extra points (avoids lame camping games while promoting the game style) This is my idea, its flawed cause am not a big thinker so there would be a few problems with this sistem.
@malyman316 something he sayed in the video is, perhaps to avoid trolls that would just stall for as long as they can, not carring about winning or loosing, so just increasing the timer could also work
Fixing DP battles is really easy. U get 2 stocks to switch out and the health that characters regen when on the bench is very minimal. The stocks can be used at any time in the game but you only get 2.
In bt3, there was no super preceptor so the best way to beat it was doing charge attacks or doing comboes with triangle (the ki blast button) to gut check them. Super peeception is the get out of jail card that made it better than blocking
I think if they increase the startup on Perception it will fix some of the issues, also make it not available AFTER you get hit because now it seems like you are hitting the enemy and they can still perception for some reason and maybe some ki cost if you want to hold perception
I agree that the time limit makes less sense now that the switch-out health regen has been nerfed. Before, the time limit was okay as to prevent matches going on forever from constant switching and crazy health recovery. Now, it's not nearly a farfetched concept to finish a match in 7 or less minutes. They should just default the time limit to 10 minutes we could see where it goes from there.
Maybe they should make the win condition DP point based. It would reward transformations (People will probably abuse UI Goku and Fusions tho) and killing chatacters
Imho best idea is set health regeneration of retreating character for only 1 health bar per whole battle or regenerate the health to fulfill current health bar, do not start new one. Win or loose should be based on remaining percentage of team's health. By this if someone is better at fighting he is gonna close the health gap easy in the battle time and "smart" choice of characters still matters

I think z burst dash costing more is fine since it's a very powerful move and was used every 5 seconds previously. The problem is that other approach options suck too much comparatively. That new approach move in the patch should have been the answer, but i guess it wasn't
Z burst dash is easily side stepped 90 percent of the time u get punished easily. I kinda like the change that makes u approach people n different ways

It’ll be damage based once they do the maintenance they announced the time and day it’s going to happen then it’ll be solely damage based because the game reads it as you dealing no damage when they tag or transform and gain their full health back 🤝
Timer victory isnt damage based, its hp% based. It was number of characters alive before Basically having more characters still gives you an advantage, and the dp battle bug makes the game unplayable.
Dp battles can be easily fixed by simply increasing the time of the battles to the point that thr battles dont end 99% of the time with a time out. So many people rely on that time out to win so they stall and build teams around that time out that is boring. If there's time enough to finish pretty much every battle, these guys won't be able to play just stalling and spamming perception anymore
Fixing the health bug, showing the timer the entire battle, that's basically it. Oh and get more players so I csn actually stop waiting so long just to face someone 2 leagues above me that melts me and leaves 😊
Blame them not adding crossplay in 2024 for not finding matches. Most people left the game due to cheese, already having their fun, or just not having much fun or whatever. And since none of the platforms are combined well we have even LESS players than we should.
Against perception you could maybe try step-in and immediately heavy attack, so you burn their skill points. Aside from that, why are you using buffs from far away? Isn't it a better idea to leg sweep or gut punch, then buff and continue the combo?
I’m low rank and I’ve fought fun players I’m in B but I’ve got people to beam clash and stuff. I got matches where we both fuse into opposite fusions and I’ve had hella fun. Also argin says he doesn’t like tagging out an actual strat for approaching people is to throw ki blast and when it hits tag out cause it makes the character approach. And me personally I love tagging out into other characters it makes it fun for me especially low DP characters are fun to constantly tag in and out makes it feel like a duo
I don't see how damage-based timeout is worse than health-based timeout. Cheese that works for damage would work for health as well, and if people choose high damage characters with less health, they risk just dying before the timeout. What's the issue?
Sidestep changes and Z Burst Dash change all need to be reverted. Perception and Super Counters still very much need nerfs/changes. The game overall feels way better to me than it did before the patch, especially with the recent netcode buff which feels sooo good BUT theres still work to be done. I really hope we can see these changes soon.
You need to change 2 things: 1. Your mindset - people don't owe anyone a certain playstyle or code of honour in the game. 2. Your character line up - pick a higher dp character as your point character. You're incredible at the pressure game and would pull so far ahead in damage/taking characters out with a high dp character on point. E.G pick blue vegeta as point, dbs goku in base form and any 2 dp character. The game is health % based and fusing counts as adding + 1 character to your team. You'll wreck others even harder if you try this
Worst players in Sparking Zero has to be the zoners and the ones that are flying away like sissys. In my time we had a close combat, punching and kicking until one of us gets beat. Sad how this game turned into a campy game.
I actually think super counter being free is the real problem. Spamming perception is annoying, yes, but if you know that they’ll keep spamming it you CAN play around it and punish them for it. What you CANT do is stop them from landing a lucky super counter 3-hits into your combo every time you manage to jump through all the hoops it took to actually HIT them. They NEED to cost 1 skill point each so that there’s a limit to how often you can essentially break out of combos. Throughout the entire video, you’re playing around them spamming perception really well, but they break out of your combo everytime and so early on because super counter is free.
To counter your point about people playing the “damage game” if we do damage based wins well I mean??? Isn’t that just what everyone’s already been doing since the beginning? You don’t want them to play too passively right? Make them have to fight then

I heard your character glows during combo extensions to signify you can do the shorter smash attacks. I also had a guy stall me with a 5 man team while I had 4 and he used the glitch. I didn’t kill any of his characters but I still won the game🤔 I even uploaded it
I don't see what's wrong about doing perception -> grab -> vanishing chain attacks. It's a style of play - there's nothing cheesy about that. Passive vs. Aggressive - both styles have their merit. Learn how to counteract it as follows: The way to beat it is to approach the character from the side or from behind. Another thing you can do is to slow down your melee strikes. If you know they're gonna use perception - why not using a perfect smash or vanishing smash attack? I'm getting tired of all my favourite DB SZ TH-camrs complaining every 2 seconds. If they patch = complain. If they don't patch = complain. No matter what they do = complain

Got to S5 running a 4 man team and can stay at S5 with a 4man. I was even using not meta characters and running a 3 man to have fun. Rematched you because i watch your vids and didnt care if i lost points. Man this bullshit storm u projecting on me is not deserved for sure. 30:45 Why did i instant tranmission when u got a buff i wonder why i ran away so u wouldnt do crazy dmg to me at that point, man think for a second. They need to fix perception, and reward blocking a true block string so players can actually punish spamming letting the game take more skill.

I heard your character glows during combo extensions to signify you can do the shorter smash attacks. I also had a guy stall me with a 5 man team while I had 4 and he used the glitch. I didn’t kill any of his characters but I still won the game🤔 I even uploaded it
I don't see what's wrong about doing perception -> grab -> vanishing chain attacks. It's a style of play - there's nothing cheesy about that. Passive vs. Aggressive - both styles have their merit. Learn how to counteract it as follows:
The way to beat it is to approach the character from the side or from behind. Another thing you can do is to slow down your melee strikes. If you know they're gonna use perception - why not using a perfect smash or vanishing smash attack?

I didnt use any bullshit super spam or cheese. Everybody was using the switch out glitch or even switching out before 60 sec because why would i let my characters die ?? The only thing u can roast me on was the perception holding since u were cooking me absolutely that first game :D GG's i always rematch you i know you play better than me. 25:29 Look at my vegeta he is always coming closer to you. Are you seeing reality different youre spamming ki blasts im coming to approach and throw hands. And then u hold perception. 25:50 look i keep rushing towards you. Im not playing that charge ki keep away and spam ki blast game. Youre spamming ki blasts alot and since they nerfed the dash to 2 ki bars its harder to rush in nevertheless i always come closer to fight. Rewatch the gameplay. Got to S5 running a 4 man team and can stay at S5 with a 4man. I was even using not meta characters and running a 3 man to have fun. Rematched you because i watch your vids and didnt care if i lost points.
