      I hope Egypt stops threatening Ethiopia for a war over the dam before they both join. I saw Sisi saying that Egypts water shouldn't be touched with their new discussions recently, why does Egypt act like they own the entire Nile? It flows through many countries and even then it doesn't even originate in Egypt. It makes Egypt look bad especially when historically Ethiopia has 0% rights to the dam because of the British colonial treaty, which gave all the rights of the Nile to Sudan (15%) and Egypt (85%).
      If you bomb the dam you will cause damage to us Eritreans and our North Sudanese brothers. We prefer a peaceful resolution. Egypt deserves not to die from thirst but at the same time claiming that Ethiopia shouldn't pull its people out of poverty through its hydroelectric dam generating electricity is wrong, as it could help our entire region pull out from suffering.
      Egypt rather than flexing its muscles telling Ethiopia what to do. Egypt should offer to pay Ethiopia to offset its losses from slowly filling the dam or work together to build solar panels to cover it and Ethiopia could also help by sending manpower for labour sending workers to assist with building desalination plants for Egypt. Both countries shouldn't put their eggs into one basket and rely on one thing.

    • @nectanbo
      @nectanbo ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@keshi5541 my brother I agree with you completely. An ideal situation is that Egypt and Ethiopia work out a solution in which Ethiopia can develop itself using the dam and Egypt and Sudan are not adversely affected.
      You have to consider this though, Egyptians since the ancient times, since the Pharaohs have considered the Nile as the single source of life in Egypt. The Pharaohs of old would carry out ceremonies to make sure it was inundating well. The harvest would depend on it. If you look at the Coptic Orthodox mass - there is still a prayer for the Nile! 99% of our population lives by the nile and it is the source of life in our country.
      Can you see why we are anxious about a project that could potentially cut out water supply?

    The BRICS countries want to develop a new currency based on gold's historical significance as a store of value and medium of trade. The usefulness and acceptance of a gold-backed currency in the current global financial system, however, remain dubious. The development of a new currency necessitates careful study of economic, political, and logistical concerns.

    • @Devcabott
      @Devcabott ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The arguments over the use of gold by the BRICS nations are fascinating. People buy gold for its historical significance, as a hedge against inflation, and for diversification purposes. However, gold investment carries risks and may not be suitable for everyone. Investors must carefully consider their objectives, risk tolerance, and financial status.

Nobody is saying the dollar should go. But the world needs an alternative to the western financial system where every country is a major player and no country imposes its will on others, thus a fair world order.

    Children let me explain what is BRICS .
    First to the one's who think BRICS+ is some sort of G7 or EU.The organisation is about open trade,developing,political negotiation on level plain field and exchange of ideas with out interfering with the politics of the member state.
    Second for the one's who think BRICS+ it's some kind of failed experiment .The open political negotiations between members states are making life easier and avoids conflict example Iran with Saudi Arabia and Egypt with Ethiopia.Creating and backing another institution/bank gives countries around the world the choice to make better decision for the future of their own economical stability.
    Organisation of this size will force EU and North America+Mexico to make more fair deals with the developing countries and not able to abuse their financial systems for benefits..
    Last note all of this is bad news for US and Eu still the dollar runs the world but in 20 year's the dependency will be reduced to minimum most historians and economist are forgetting that this cycle of currency domination is very common in human history /the roman sestertius ,eastern rome bezant,ducat and british pound are good examples of currency past domination/with the time the dominant currency starts to lose values due to raising debts or wars...
    The things can get serious if BRICS+ decides to become a political/military alliance but this only can happen if there is outside treat to most members.I hope US will be run by smarter people we will avoid such a situation...

    Regardless of whether BRICS will match the US-led coalition, the fact that Iran and Saudi Arabia are sitting and talking about how best to improve the lives of their citizens, as opposed to throwing punches at each other, is worth the efforts already.
    I see a very different picture in the composition of the US-led coalition and that of BRICS. The former is made up of a group of "like-minded" parties. Like-minded meaning echoing the thoughts of the US. BRICS is very different. A more disparate group of nation with rather diverse world views. Jake Sullivan of the White House dismissed it by characterizing it as "made up of two autocratic countries" namely China and Russia. In one statement, he insulted all the rest of them, implying that they will take orders from China and Russia. One thing I am very sure of is that the G7 takes orders from the US.
    Think of a football team. The G7 is being led by a strong captain namely the US. BRICS is probably a lot harder to find its bearing because China is, unlike the US, less assertive in its management style. So it is going to be more consensus all around then. But would too many cooks spoil the broth?
    There is a major difference between G7 and BRICS...border disputes. G7 has no such problem while China and India do have a current unresolved dispute.

      @@kingflockthewarrior202 Yes, I agree. What is interesting is that there are significant contrast between the group of nations in terms of economy, and system of governance. I think some of them are seeing this as an opportunity to get ahead in the slip stream. And why not? If everyone is chipping in to help where necessary, the world would be a much better place than what it is now.
      I think another reason for them to join is because they couldn't stomach the overbearing attitudes of the US. It sets the rules, and it breaks it at will.
