Glad you are ok. Makes me take a step back and rethink pushing every boundary for that last bit of performance. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks man, me too. Yep, I will be taking a step back, "slowing down", and more careful with my loadings/shooting practices.....
Glad ta is OK man!!!
Scarry stuff!! 🙏🙏🙏
Me too!!
Fuck man glad your ok
you and me both.......
You're description of the blow up sounded like the bullet got shoved down into the case trying to feed out of the magazine. Shoving the bullet down into the case probably led to the kaboom.
Glad you are ok!! Lesson to all of us!! Good luck with the match!
Yes! And yes. Some lessons can be costly. Glad I got out of this one with minimal loss.
It's good to see you think Jesus for saving your eyes. Maybe your life.
Maybe I'd reconsider some of the stuff you say on your channel. I'm not judging you. I'm glad you didn't get Hurt., but if you're a believer, God bless and have a great day, keep on shooting..
clissic case head sep... i dont think it had to do with the bullet itself... it could have got jammed and created extra pre but no way to tell without scoping the chamber and stuff.. even then you probably cant tell.. i had a case head sep at a fclass match once using old worn out brass even though i knew better.,.. the 25cents i saved using them i spent fixing my shit 100 times over..
That could be possible as well. I do need to get some new brass
I know what to use when I go after water jugs. Glad your aright man.
You’re just a dude…one lucky dude that is!! Thankful you are okay brother! That’s some serious pressure to crack that carrier where it did.
No kidding. Thanks man, me too. I'm gonna take it apart tonight and see what else got smoked
Dang dude! Glad your ok! Case head separation from compressed load or was the bullet jammed?
ME TOO!! I'm not real sure what caused it. My guess, it was compressed, but could have been both. It was a round I had previously loaded that "jammed" and pushed that bullet in further. Not a ton, but it was definitely seated below the rest. Should have just thrown it away.... now I know....
Glad you're okay and not seriously injured. I'm surprised it hadn't happened sooner. The 22dpc is just stupid. Just switch to the 22ARC and be done with it.
Wow, im glad your ok. Thank god. Sand the sharp parts of that case head and you got a cool key chain acc.
I thought about that :)
Glad you are okay!
Oof, setback's a b***ch. 😠That had to be some serious pressure to jack up the bolt/carrier like that! I'm glad you made it through rather unscathed. I always wear eyepro during load development., you just never know (especially with different powder/bullet lots). Hopefully you get something worked up and are still able to enjoy the event.
I'll give it hell and come up with something.
Glad to see you are still around and thanks for sharing a valuable lesson.
Glad you are ok. 42.0gr h4350 with 134 eldm at 2850. They all sell a eldm seating stem now
Thank you fellow double A, me too. I have a Hornady seating stem for a 6mm A-tip. Think that would work OK for the 134 eldm??
@@imjustadude it should out I heard you can put some jb weld in the seating stem for it to conform to the bullet shape.
Lucky, buy a lotto ticket ! I had a similar thing happen doing a Mag Dump on a Ruger Mini-14, beat the action and it fired before the bolt locked in & sheared the rear 1/4" of the case off. Lost hearing in right ear, big hole and chunk out of my nose. Beard and hair burns on right side and scope ring cut around right eye. Don't have to worry about hearing protection now days but always wear glasses now.
Damn Scott! Glad you're alive. Eye pro from now on...
Boy, are you one lucky DUDE glad you are ok nothing but your pride and gun are hurt. Told you those Hammers were speedy and hit like a freight train! I was shooting the 70 HHT in a 223 Wylde gas gun 18" barrel 25.6 Varmint 3003 2.249 oal #41 primer
Yes I am. A higher power was with me. Those bullets are crazy. If you watch the slomo footage, you can see the bullet pass through the jugs and hit the berm behind them. It kicks up a white "poof" (I had some old drywall I tossed in the dirt)
@@imjustadude The only bad part of Hammers is they are the Top Gucci Bullets for price!
@@markyoung7470 they are salty
Wow. Glad you shared this. And really glad you’re ok. Definitely had your ancestors with you today. Just let that little piece sneak through as a reminder of just how dangerous our hobby can be. Think I’ll start wearing my glasses again.
Watching your videos is a big help. I think with my load development I’m going to use one bullet and go through a few powders right in the middle of the load range. Once we find the powder with the tightest group. Then the ladder test.
Thoughts?
Glad I am too. You get so focused on numerous things, in a hurry, and just skip the simple/easiest personal protection. It's not an issue, until it is. Your plan seems pretty solid. Same bullet, lower/middle of the road on the powder charge, work from there.
What is the 22dpc? Kenny at desert precision spin on a 22arc before 22arc was a thing?
Pretty much. It's a hoot, I love it.
You said the bullet was damaged, but do you think it could have been overloaded with too much GP?
I don't think so but it's hard to say. I'm pretty observant of my powder charges. Whatever it was, scared the shit outta me...
Thank God you are ok!!
YES!! And I did....
Dude comments turned off on your latest video by you or by commie TH-cam
I went in and turned them on.... I think
Just checked, they are off again. I've turned them on twice already, will try again
Dude! Glad you're okay.
Me too brother.... me too...
Does the lower still retain a mag or did that swell too?
Thank God you're OK!
Yes!
