Everyone has a different Pakistan depending on their personal situation. For those of us who come from rural areas of Potohar and adjacent Azad Kashmir, our Pakistan is a lot different than the Pakistan of city dwellers. My wife’s family is from Karachi and they don’t have that same connection or romanticism for Pakistan as my family from rural Potohar does. I am from Canada and my family has been here since the mid-70s. We are still are connected to our pind but it’s because we are lucky to come from a pind and not from an urban area or some area where they is a lot of inequity because of zamindars ruling over tenant farmers.
Brothers if uk returns investment should be in industry and export sector instead of villas or plazas or mention or Banglas koti so my suggestion all uk citizens should be investing in industries and exporting sectors

I was born in the UK but I love Pakistan so much more. Chaudrey Saab was right . Here in the UK is like a concrete jungle and Pakistan is open and you feel so much more freedom . And I totally agree with the property / family issues . As a Muslim you should give what is owed under haq to your brothers and sisters . My father has passed away and my elder brother has taken control of the property and because my other brothers and sisters are in the UK he is not giving them any haq he has forgotten about the Islamic rules . He was born in pk and came to UK age 5 then went back and lives there now but has become a greedy person . If a sister dare ask for her Allah given right, parents and brothers will disown her. This land doesn’t belong to us , we belong to the land if we are lucky to be buried in it. Kashmir is a stunning place but sadly greed has destroyed families , our older generations had love , humility , justice and honour. Going to court or the police was seen as dishonour for families but nowadays , bribes are given to bully relatives into submission. Even though I’m born and raised in uk , same age as these brothers but just like them , I have love for my fatherland but our children hate the politics of relatives and refuse to invest there. Relatives that live off the land of overseas family do not want to handover to rightful owner and as mother , I fear for my children’s lives when they go there. Greed is the biggest issue. Uk has beautiful places too and so much greenery but sadly people here just work long hours and don’t see the countryside here.
British Kashmiris work long hours because they do blue collar jobs either drive taxi or do takeaway restaurants. Why don't you focus on educating children from start? If you had enough resources here you would just gift the land which you have back home and build some public library or some scientific learning centre. Instead your focus is on religion and marriages and you don't motivate your children.

Our entire khandaan has graduates who also fear Allah and live as practising Muslims. We have our homes in kashmir too. Majority of Asian areas have problem with youth because parents have not raised them well. Fathers are busy working all hours & mothers too busy gossiping or watching dramas & children are left to fend for themselves. I’ve taught in secondary schools for over 28 years and the children that have issues always come from such families. You try and engage the parents but they hardly ever turn up at school meetings or ask after their children’s progress. You reap what you sow sadly

I am 62 now, I went back home to islamgargh when I was 18 years old and learned my uncle family stole my dad's land! My dad worked very hard in uk to buy the land in islamgargh. Years they both died, , rest of the family continued dispute over my dad's land. After my father died one of my brothers stole one of the properties in uk which should have been divided between brothers! We are supposed to be good fair decent Muslims, but unfortunately some people are like greedy snakes!
A lot of people were living of Benefits and factory workers they had no Education and could afford a house on a good factory wage .Now it’s a struggle for anyone coming to England NO Benefits NO factories and just Taxi drivers who drive around in £50000 pound cars and claim they earn £12000 and avoid paying TAX.The thing is now it’s difficult for people coming to England to start a life but the 2nd generation worked hard and respected others these days the new generation want everything for very little. Family fall outs due to land issues kids wanting to Marry outside family Money issues e.t.c

Lack of clean drinking water, sanitation, electricity, gas, surrounded by corruption all around, medical standards or lack of sadly Pakistan is not for long term stay for us overseas people of pakistani origins.
Brothers should be more grateful for being and living in UK, say alhamdulillah. I worked and lived in many other countries, UK is still better than many.
