Thankyou, it is really helpful video, I am slightly confused with the up down then finishing up? am I right in thinking it is up down up then full stroke down?
He's telling to stroke only the lower strings, sometimes it's almost like a power chord, that's fine, but I saw others gypsy jazz players and they sais that every strokes touch all the six strings, of course, to achieve the sound of "la pompe" you have to be careful with the strumming...so? Who's right? Maybe both of them? 😃 just curious about it
He's talking about primarily Django accompaniment and not as much about the rhythm player's accompaniment. He's talking about stuff that Django does in particular while playing rhythm with the rest of the band.
Ephasize low strings, so you don´t go to the frequencies of the soloist, but I guess you should be able to play both ways and choose a specific way for every tune.
This is His favourite pompe, but as He mentioned there are lots of different versions and you have to FEEL which can be the best for helping the soloist
Nice to hear an explanation that matches the playing. Makes a real change. It's a shame people are so cloth eared that he needs to dress up to get their attention.
I like your style Mr. Dunayebski. You are dapper in a contemporary world.
finally someone who shares my view on la pompe! todays most manouche players, even the great ones, lack the swing that you showed in this lesson.
Which great player lacks to swing?
Is it possible to compliment without throwing shade at other people?
When he actually kicked in the rhythm it really sounded like those early Django recordings... really accurate.
You should see this guy live!
This is a great course! Highly recommend if you're into the real 30's Django sound.
Thank you. That is very helpful. I want to create this on the ukulele as well as the guitar.

Absolutely perfect. 👍❤️

This guy understood everything !
Right. He really thinks about music a lot. Also the suit and moustache makes him look like a time traveller. :D
@@vaclavhanusekv1717 well, our time makes us feel like travelling through other times...
I'm a time traveler from 2 years in the future - TURN BACK NOW, BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!!
Pushing to eleven and that before Spinal Tap did.
Good tutorial. Looks like rhythm is more complicated compared to solo 🙄
Rhythm got more than most think. It’s value and quality is underestimated very easily especially by starters in this genre.

You play the 6 strings, but you emphasize the low 4 strings, for the Harmony, the other 2 are to give it more of a "Chsss" like an accent

Thanks buddies! 😃🤘

"Param" accurate definition of la Pompe
why dont you talk about your left hand
Head to toe legit
Django, habla menos 🤣👍
