Awesome teaching on Spiritual Gifts. I grew up in ministers home. My father was a home missions church planter when i was a boy. My two grandfathers were pastors and my great grandfather on moms side was a Pastor. I did witness my grandparents and great grandfather being used in other gifts of the spirit. My one grandfather was used mightily as a Pastor of many churches and also was used in the gift of discernment and healing. Very interesting topic and thank you so much. On a side note my grandfather was George Whitefield Stanley and was a canadian living in New Brunswick. A single man working as a superintendent for a construction co he stopped by a job site to look around and was wearing a tie. Somehow the tie became entangled with the cement mixer and pulled him into and through the gears etc and broke his back to pieces. Young George was in a body cast at a local hospital and was pumped full of morphine and allowed to have all of the alcohol he could stand just to kill the pain. He had a cousin stop by and told him of 2 sisters from Macon Georgia in the US that were there preaching divine healing and if you go sit in the healing chair they anointed you with oil and lay hands on you and pray the prayer of faith and she said George i believe that you will be healed by God will you go? He said yes. So fast forward here he goes down the aisle at the end of the sermon and sits in the healing chair. The Davis sisters asked him if he was a christian? He answered well i’m not heathen if you please. He continued to say that he believed in God after all he had been an altar boy in the church of England. They began to worship the lord singing and praying and they anointed him with oil and lay their hands on his head. They said Heavenly Father we come directly into your throne room through our advocate Jesus Christ who paid for our healing in pilates hall when they tied him to the whipping post. The best him with 39 stripes upon his back. He was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was put upon him and by his stripes we are healed! My grandfather was totally and instantly healed! He went back to the hospital and insisted that they cut the cast off and if they wouldn’t do it he would because he’d been healed by the power of almighty God! He left that hospital leaping and praising God for healing him! Later he was filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost just like they did in the upper room on the day of pentecost. He felt called to the ministry and pioneered churches all up and down the east coast. Connecticut, Maine, Pennsylvania, Michigan, . He was a pastor and an awesome Bible teacher and preacher. He was used in various gifts. He had the gift of discernment, healing, deliverance, and he loved people. He mentored many young men that got saved and felt the call of God. My grandfather passed away on July 07, 1977 at 7 am. The number 7 is the number of completion. I’ll always remember my grandfather G.W.Stanley..i look forward to seeing him in heaven one day!!

But if the gifts are properly discerned and used, God can bring tremendous advancement to His purposes like how the Lord is using you and the ministry in evangelism!
