I am a New Zealander married to a USA citizen. When we moved to the USA I went through a Screening process including medical and an interview before entering the USA! How can the Government break the Law so obviously for so long? The longterm impact will contribute to the fall of the USA in my opinion.

Two points :
- People coming in are mostly ignorant of their rights and the restrictions on government. They just want to get through the line and get to a comfortable bed, probably still an hour away at best.
- Ports of entry are a very narrow choke point that it is easy for them to control. Worst case a padlock and a single Marine would hold against a plane load of tired Kiwis. Two padlocks if they realize there's gotta be a back door somewhere.
- They usurp authority over ports of entry so there is nobody to compete with them.

This is exactly why people need to put their families first instead of trying to appear noble and virtue signal. I don't care if people think I'm a racist or a bigot. The safety and the well-being of the ones I love come first, and that means I want the border closed, and people need to be properly vetted before they get to live here. They also need to prove they're going to be productive members of society and not demand that we change our culture to suit them.
