    I think it could just be that having these real, physical pieces kind of gives them more meaning, as opposed to a still image of a fractal on a screen. That and the fact that someone actually constructed it by hand kicks it up a notch.

  • @dasplunge
    @dasplunge 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    next step is to make it dynamical. To give the impression that you are moving through an infinite loop. THAT would be even more awesome

  • @KalebKeough
    @KalebKeough 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Actually it does. If you misspell a word a little red line appears underneath said word.

  • @sapien82
    @sapien82 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    i dont think it relates in anyway to the complexities of infinity , its more just to try and hint at what infinity means in a spacial environment, as in tending towards infinity into the great vastness and darkness of space ! I personally like the use of colour and mirrors

  • @cnl1213
    @cnl1213 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    how about making the light move, or the illusion of wind or a breeze? Or is that against the calm, meditative nature of this work?

  • @UrielSuarezElectro

    Yes, you are correct. However, this is what I believe to be a prime example of what art is. Opinions are not right or wrong. I am quite sure you know that.

  • @KyCuJe
    @KyCuJe 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Except everything we see is light, that's how our eyes work. If there is absolutely no light, you are not seeing black, you aren't seeing anything.

  • @vinniP123
    @vinniP123 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    i want this shit in my house.

  • @KyCuJe
    @KyCuJe 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looks awesome, but seeing infinity is impossible because light is not instantaneous. Light travels at a set speed, and after a long enough distance you can no longer see it till that light has existed long enough to travel to you.

  • @imaginasean
    @imaginasean 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    To those that speak against...what have you created?

  • @pausa831
    @pausa831 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    If the light moved that would defeat the purpose of infinity. Then it would be movement with mirrors, not a illusion or representation of "forever"

  • @chill187
    @chill187 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    i can't wait until he discovers black light..

  • @KaiserinKayz
    @KaiserinKayz 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I really love what he is doing and I think that this is a neat play on perception, but I almost feel like it's setting up some sort of false expectation to label it as 'seeing infinity.'
    Besides, fractal images have already been claiming that title for a long time already.

    Discovered? Spencers has been selling these things for the last 15 years! "By looking at the emptiness, I hope people can find the place or something they'd been searching for." Dude, it’s a cheap optical illusion with a couple of mirrors and a light bulb!

    'Impressive' is subjective, case in point, this guy's art didn't impress me. It may have impressed you though. But criticism of art does not require one to be an artist to have an opinion.
