Lucky to be one of the many few who played this game when it just released. Never thought this game would blow up to be what it is now whether you like it or not.
It would be a dream come true if epic were to make this era of Fortnite accessible, but as an entirely separate game. No seasons or major updates, just barebones fun.
They should just have it accessible in game. Like have they made zero builds mode. They should have a barebones mode. Back to the past mode. And just have the earlier map playable from the very first season.
Looking back to this time feels so old we grew up so fast. The game got so many changes I wish I could have the same feeling as the old days everything was so beautiful the graphics the animations everything was just perfect and was so fun to play I really miss the old Fortnite and I’m glad I could experience it.

This gives me insane nostalgia. The sound of the building and pick axing (although it was frustrating seeing him not swing at the hit point lol) etc. The graphics in chapter 4 are incredible but this cartoonish style is sorely missed too.
Such a bittersweet video. This was the last time a multiplayer game had me hooked and in awe at 21 years old. Now at 26 I'm constantly chasing that feeling that MW2, BF3, OW and this game gave me.
For everyone who is saying that they miss the old map and how chill it was, don't forget that modding is right around the corner, I'm sure someone will remake the entire map with the same mechanics, loot pool, etc. It's not too far away!

Wow, can’t believe this was 5 years ago. This was the best. Simple but perfect map, perfect graphics and sounds, Nobody knew what they were doing. I miss these old days a lot, especially the ambient nighttime noise. It’s unfortunate how much Fortnite has changed now but I’m happy I got to experience the glory of the first few seasons.
Fortnite would be nothing today if it stayed like this, the game has to keep evolving for things to stay fresh, or people get bored. Just be glad we can look back on this map with nostalgia goggles, and pretend how perfect the mediocre map and graphics were

I joined late CH1 S2, didn’t really take the game too seriously until S4 but so simple as just the graphics, so nice and simple, now you’ve got weird blob things and really weird lighting on the map. Didn’t know 5 years could go so fast
That sound effect when you pick items up... The iconic graphics where the island looked blurry in a realistic way yet vibrant.. The grenades... The rarity colors.. I wish fortnte added a mode that disabled turbo building and had old weapons
Hope they add a feature where they have a gamemode that has the old map, weapons, graphics, and sounds. Would be so cool, but doubt it will ever happen.

Playing TH-cam videos at high resolutions and frame rates is more internet intensive and games require GPU and CPU power because they’re constantly rendering new frames.

@@RakinAnwar23 I can’t lie, for the people who didn’t care much for college, it gives you so much spare time. I had 13.5h per week in lessons, didn’t really do anything and still managed to get into uni. But if you want a head start with good grades then yeah make sure to not get distracted
there is some things i liked about season 1-3 such as the graphics, how the icons and stuff looked, the simplicity of the game and how it wasnt filled with sweats, however some things about the old fortnite i didnt like was how much glitches there were, the lag , and lack of characters to play with. not all of old fortnite was cool

so glad I got to play it in season 0 and have those memories, didn't grind it like some people, but i like the way it looks in the storm, and it was fun just landing at dusty depot every game or at the unmarked factories on the edge of loot lake, and hoping and praying I could get some decent loot.
I still remember my bush spot beside the mountain next to dusty depot. Disappeared one update and I thought Epic was watching me cuz I would camp in that spot to try and win games. Great times.
The OG map was so fucking cool... so big, you would encounter enmies in the middle of nowhere. So many cliffs, trees, everything. The size of it, or lack of so many PoI's gave it the wilderness feeling to the game... the real essence of it: You dropped off the bus to an island in the middle of nowhere, had to gather scarce loot, and survive.
Getting a blue+ weapon really felt exciting because they were so rare... purple... gold... Now you can get a full gold inventory every single game without trying hard.

I was 11 years old when Fortnite got released I am going to be 17 in February now holy shit this game literally used to be the most comforting thing for me I still play and I love it the game will always have a special place in my heart I’ll never forget those cold winter nights I used to stay up playing fortnite with my friends from school on the ps4 and we never got bored of it either my memories of this game are endless
Same.I’m gonna be 17 in a couple weeks. I remember the good old days back when all I did was get home from school and play with my friends. Looking back now it’s satisfying and relaxing. I haven’t played in years but I think the reason I have so much nostalgia is because of my friends
so glad I got to play it in season 0 and have those memories, didn't grind it like some people, but i like the way it looks in the storm, and it was fun just landing at dusty depot every game or at the unmarked factories on the edge of loot lake, and hoping and praying I could get some decent loot.
I got 2000 hours playing back in those days at loot Lake. Nowadays I wouldnt touch the game at all.
I still remember my bush spot beside the mountain next to dusty depot. Disappeared one update and I thought Epic was watching me cuz I would camp in that spot to try and win games. Great times.

The OG map was so fucking cool... so big, you would encounter enmies in the middle of nowhere. So many cliffs, trees, everything. The size of it, or lack of so many PoI's gave it the wilderness feeling to the game... the real essence of it: You dropped off the bus to an island in the middle of nowhere, had to gather scarce loot, and survive.
Getting a blue+ weapon really felt exciting because they were so rare... purple... gold... Now you can get a full gold inventory every single game without trying hard.
Ong im still young im 14 i remember being 8 when this first came out bruh this games shows time flys becauae i cant remember half this stuff i remember i used to team kill if my squad got a scar good stuff i wish i could go back to elementary days 😄

This brings back so many good memories i am not able to recover from playing the present fortinite. I really miss the OG one. It was so much better
wow this game looks incredible i sure hope they don't ruin it and add collaboration which completely have nothing to do with the game and I hope they don't change the graphics so it gives me a headache playing it. I also hope they don't get rid of all the guns which are good because that would be devastating. surely they won't replace the old guns with a gun which shoots jelly. never.
Thank you for your video, it is very nostalgic. I remember playing with my friends or my brother. It was a lot of fun. The game has changed, so have we.
