Came across your channel on Monday. Great content. E-visa vlog was great, I followed along while watching and you made it easy to fill out visa form. Condo tours are good too. I went to Da Nang back in 1993 to check for surf. I can't believe how it has developed, nothing was there back then. I stayed out by Marble Mountains and every morning school kids would give me a tour through the caves to practice their English. These two cousins that worked for Vietnam Air would (borrow) a company van for 4-5 hours a day and take up and down the coast, Hoi An to Hue looking for waves to surf and site-see. I remember awesome looking beaches between Da Nang and Hue we couldn't get to. I'm starting my slow-travel-life on the 27th, Vietnam is first 3 months, be in Da Nang first week of September. Hey Travis, you mentioned that you've moved into the new neighbourhood on the non My Khe side of the bridge, more Vietnamese locals than expats/tourism on your new side. Do you have any recommendations for food spots (coffee shops, Vietnamese street food joints, local restaurants etc), cheap foot reflexology or massage places, or entertainment/activities things to do on that side of Da Nang near your new dig. Cheers mate! Not a lot of info on that side of the city. Your videos are excellent

I'm moving here this week bro, currently in bangkok but i spent 10 days in Hoi An also, Hoi An is ok but my god.....the old town being so small + touristy is insane. I can cope with Bangkok tourism as its huge, but hoi an i try to avoid old town lol. Cant wait to explore Danang!

Travis - excellent update about this "secret beach" up on the Son Tra Peninsula. When I was in Da Nang back in April (to escape the crazy Songkran water fights here in Thailand where I currently live) I rode my motorbike (rental) several times out to the end of the road - Intercontinental juncture and I noticed along the way little small clusters of motorbikes grouped on the roadside near many different cliffs, and I suspected that underneath these cliffs was many different wonderful beaches - So Travis, I guess that you found one of these hidden wonderful secrets? Travis - when the road ends at the Intercontinental - there is a guard (at where the road ends and not where the entrance to the Intercontinental is) - someone told me that you can continue onto that road to go further out onto the Peninsula, BUT they only let people go who have powerful motorbikes and not the typical city motorbikes. Do you know anything about this? And what is beyond the Intercontinental on that gravel road? I want to discover this additional secret when I return to Da Nang next year --> unless of course you discover it first :>))
I believe the rule is you have to have a semi-auto bike to go further. But they've stopped me each time I've tried and I have a fully manual. I actually planned to explore more for this video but it was just too hot and I wanted to lay on the beach...
beaches and beach towns/life are good for a 14 day or 1 month holliday.. but most ppl gets extremely bored by it living there..and u have the tropicalstorms as a bonus.
People live in beach towns for years, if not their entire lives. What kind of people are you talking about? You are most likely talking about people like yourself. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean the entire world doesn't like it.

Don’t wanna be coming when it rains I like so I can lay on the beach because I live in England or all it does is rain here or freezing cold but at the moment we have a hot wave of weather at the moment hardly breathe here and the only thing I do hate is bugs. I think I watched your video saying something about mosquitoes. They drive you mad will put me off. Thanks a lot for your help. Give me a bit of advice on renting a place for a month and I’m sure it cost me, in pounds, thanks a lot mate😮
