the problem with Solo’s bloodline is exactly the fact that we don’t know anything about Loa and Tama. Jacob’s charisma and hype around him is carrying him but we need to let the Tonga Bros have mic time to get to know them. the reason Roman’s Bloodline worked was cause all the wrestlers in the BL had mic time and we liked/knew their characters.
That's pretty much what we said. Tama Tonga came with a fanbase of his own and it sounds like he's great but we've not seen it yet. Solo and the girls are just so boring (except Jacob 'coz ... holy SHIT Jacob!)
The thing John was saying about how people will no longer be just discovering wrestling by flipping the channels is something I’ve been saying since it was announced it’s honestly kinda sad because that’s how a lot of people discovered it
11:00 I would say people are way more likely to randomly stumble upon it because whenever they have an NFL game whether you watch sports or not its the first thing you see when you log on I think they'll do the same when Raw is on
haven’t watched the video but just based off the title, in my opinion I feel like we have a real story if seth loses. he could turn heel and run with the narrative that drew kind of has at the moment.
Of course Punk's going over if he's facing Reigns at Mania, he's not losing this match. How is Seth completely right in the situation (in storyline)? Vince was in charge. We all know what he was like now. Punk was physically & mentally burnt out. He had to leave & heal. He may not be perfect. But, he did what was needed at the time. This is the thing I've disliked about how whatculture kept mocking tribal fans before when Vince was still in charge of crap shows. Of course AEW was better then. Go ahead & mock dopes, but at least admit WWE was bad then while doing it!.. Why couldn't Punk bash bad business practices, toxic work culture & join the competition when legally free to do so? It's like when someone told SantiZap you should always stay loyal to whichever company made you a star. Even when your contract is almost up & you have to make a choice of which company is offering the best deal.. Um, no.. 😅🤦♂️
Seth is in the right because Punk was a friend to many backstage and then he tried to to indirectly make them homeless by trying to deatroy the comoany. He also ghsted all of them. Ans a Martyr fights until he dies. Not until he is tired. Until. He. Dies. Be fucking for real. You know thats the truth.
I can agree with the overall criticisms of the Cope/Mox situation but saying the crowd was dead for it is just factually incorrect. Big pop when Rated FTR graphic appeared, multiple holy shit chants
Love then world’s end recap, especially the MJF discussion. I agree and hopefully his promo on dynamite to Mox is setting him up for something big. Overall a fun show, some small stuff but cant wait to hear your guys thoughts.
The people is right, they do an hour matches for men in AEW every month and for Women to be 24 minutes the longest match in all this years?? EMBARASSING. Also they JUST have 1 women's match in all the weekly shows, a lot of times SQUASHES and a 30 seconds promo in backstage.
Saying my reason is pretty much this: 1st theres the emotional side, Punk is my favorite wrestler, his pipebomb, and summer of punk are without a doubt a BIG moment for my formative years. 2nd Me being a big fan of his, I watched CLOSELY the whole shit hitting the fan when he left. And to be honest to this day looking back, I still understand him, and somewhat agree with him. WWE back then was very toxic and full of BS, vinnie mac was a piece of shit, and at the time till he got removed he was senile and out of touch for well over a decade. (the same way I side with Ricky Starks/rey Fenix situation against AEW, and sided with Mox against WWE). Fast-forward, he comes back to WWE, 10 years later, in the renascence of WWE, with a newer and undoubtably healthier management and overall backstage culture. I see him happy, doing his stuff. The first thing Seth did, when Punk returned, was to freakout, to fight him, cut several promos against him and whatnot. Punk was bitter af for 10 years, taking some shots at WWE, but the same can be said about Seth's best buddy, Mox. With that being said, I can't completely understand Seth's side, I think one of the BEST aspects of current WWE, is that Heel/Face wrestlers have largely a GOOD point, and is not black/white. So much so, that I don't think someone is detrimentally wrong if they side with Seth. It's a nuanced story, and it's a blast
Unfortunately, the women's IC final round isn't next week 😭 I was hoping it would be because it makes sense to have it in a monumental show (first Netflix Raw) like the women's US final (SNME) But no, it's the week after, the 13th in San Jose. I wish it was next week, I'm going to Intuit and I was looking forward to that match
Bad blood and first raw on Netflix are two different things.. first was a PLE (and I know their PRing this RAW like one but it’s not), it had Cody in it- the Champion and it was in his hometown+it was Romans first match after coming back from vacation after WM, Rock was there but didn’t bring nothing till this point in time he had zero input and it wasn’t touched by them since.. this RAW even if Rock comes back (f him) it’s stacked-Cena comes back and like You guys said they’re treating it like a “mini Wrestlemania” so Dwaynie doesn’t really have so much importance doing a cameo to swing Roman vs Solo and to your angle with Bloodline story is gonna last longer- yeah cause it’s a never ending out BUT it’s not on RAW (the main program that was signed by Netflix to do/have), both Roman and Solo are Smackdown signed with that most of their story and more value is gonna go to the other brand and RAW is Seth and Punks- they both there to stay so it wouldn’t make sense what so ever to go with anything alse as main event then them🤷♀️
after the Netflix deal is over i hope WWE just reboots the WWE Network and makes it their own streaming platform for say $15 month. it includes Raw/SD/NXT and PLE’s. i think it would work. i know id pay for that instead of having netflix / max and peacock.
What is it with Seth, he always feels like he's missing something, he's so super close to being a mega star but he just isn't. I can't be the only one that think he's stuck in the shadow of Roman, Becky and Punk. The best way I can describe him is a main event Miz. A guy that is great in ring, on the mic and character work but he's used to elevate other guys instead, for example Cody. This promo between Punk and Seth would have been crazy had it been Roman instead of Seth, because Punk was the face of AEW (they haven't been the same since Punk got fired) and Roman is the face of WWE.
5:50 The New Bloodline needs to dissolve. The Tangas can frankly go away, and Solo and Jacob need to go their own ways as well. Jacob has an insane amount of potential and they need to just let him loose to run with it without HAVING to be shoehorned into a Bloodline story. As far as I'm concerned, the biggest problem with the Bloodline story is there is no end game. With JUST the amount of them there are right now, there are 8 of them, with at least two more hired by the company. There will become a time when you just have to hand wave that they had interactions and let them be their own people. Jey is the perfect example of this. He was basically set to be Main Event Jey, but no, the Bloodline pulled him down from the main event scene to the point he had to settle for a short IC run and basically fall back in line with the Bloodline. If he was as over as he was and not a Bloodline member, he might have actually been in the main event scene long term. Edit: 19:00 I think they need to just end the Finn v Priest stuff. They should have Priest just move over to SmackDown to "Get away from Judgement Day." After that, the best thing they could do for Finn is have Judgement Day absolutely destroy Finn, put him off the air for a while, and have him come back as the Demon and not a part of of Judgement Day anymore. Have the Demon just destroy Judgement Day, then just move Judgement Day to NXT where they can thrive.
Seth should win and be over. I don't like never liked and never will like Cm Junk. I don't want more than 1 match. Also i love Adam aka Edge aka Cope and he always get a huge pop. Charlotte and Cena will win the Royal Rumbles respectively.
I started watching wrestling in the 80s when it was on regular tv on Saturdays. It was "free" and readily available. It took me away for more than 20 years until I could afford to watch it on cable. Now that I have cable, they're moving again. I thought they were trying to make it easier to watch, not harder.

As Tama would say, yea yea yea yea yea yea yea yea yea
Tonga Loa used to be Camacho. I'm happy they at least have him as a character in the right heritage.
The thing John was saying about how people will no longer be just discovering wrestling by flipping the channels is something I’ve been saying since it was announced it’s honestly kinda sad because that’s how a lot of people discovered it
I don't think many people nowadays are channel surfing to begin with, so it's likely a moot point
@@AnimalPuffexactly
People can just discover it on Netflix
If Punk & Seth goes on for longer after Netflix I’m fine with Punk beating Seth the first go around. He should if that’s the case.
11:00 I would say people are way more likely to randomly stumble upon it because whenever they have an NFL game whether you watch sports or not its the first thing you see when you log on I think they'll do the same when Raw is on
Happy New Year Stache Club! Thanks for all the great videos from 2024!
I'll give you copeland but FTR have been in AEW for 4 years. At this point, they are just as much as aew as Moxley
haven’t watched the video but just based off the title, in my opinion I feel like we have a real story if seth loses. he could turn heel and run with the narrative that drew kind of has at the moment.
This wasn’t the first year the NFL had games on Christmas, they’ve did it multiple times in the past
Happy New years everyone.
Happy New Year, fellas!!! Cheers from Worcester!!!!
Happy new years to you guys and Another great wrestling podcast

Of course Punk's going over if he's facing Reigns at Mania, he's not losing this match.

I don't understand how ANYONE can side with Punk over Rollins in this.
Saying my reason is pretty much this:

In New Zealand Netflix currently has every nfl game live and since crown jewel we have had every ppv on Netflix
Punk is the draw though . You push your biggest draw in my opinion.
yeah here in Australia we getting raw, smackdown and NXT on Netflix

Happy new year everyone xx🩵🩵🩵🩵
Someone make a final 4 quiz for them for the royal rumble I think that would be a great quiz
All of it will be on Netflix here in Australia
If Alpha Academy starts a gambling site they can call its Alpha Bets

Another great episode🔥🔥yeet,in my opinion cm punk should beat seth, but only time will tell who wins
Seth should not win.
My favorite wrestling podcast
Honestly. I want Solo to win next week
after the Netflix deal is over i hope WWE just reboots the WWE Network and makes it their own streaming platform for say $15 month. it includes Raw/SD/NXT and PLE’s. i think it would work. i know id pay for that instead of having netflix / max and peacock.
happy nye boys from bahston
Is SmackDown going to Netflix as well?

A good first step would be getting away from this goofy visionary shtick
