I've owned three Lincoln Town cars in the last fifteen years and I must tell you they're made extremely well. I put 350,000 miles on one Town car and it was still going strong. Amazing.
yes I have serious sentimental value for Lincolns now because Papa & Uncle Ray drove Town Cars..now I wanted a Rover or Tahoe to keep jackers off me but..I think a retro Navigator like this..I can't see them running up on me in this..but it has high value to me & that interior wow..reminds me of Papa driving me to kindergarten..I gotta have it..Mama's last Cadillac Deville was so cheap..GM just doesnt care at all..I remember Ford was the only company to not get bought out or completely go under in the last recess..& I like that this has F-150 underpinnings
I love my 09! Fully optioned out with the monochrome elite and hd tow package has sat nav radio with DVD power everything moonroof 20 inch wheels front heated and cooled seats and rear passenger seats are heated as well. Blacked piping on the seats with black center inlays and Lincoln emblems on every headrest. Greatest vehicle ever, even for it's time.
I have this truck, for 12 years now, I'm still in love with it, I don't drive it every day because parking sucks in New York city. Is an 2007 L model with all the bell and whistles for that year. It has the same chrome wheels as in the video. It currently has 95k miles. Paint is starting to peel but, I still get looks when I drive it. All that chrome actually is rare now so it makes it look more classy.
these ross rappaport reviews were/are the best of the best stoic..sensible..no weird slander & negative angles for clickbait honest..unbiased..same as youd want your mechanic to be
My wife and I just bought a specially made 2010 Navigator and we have 3 kids! We LOVE IT!!! I would recommend it to any one! Before we had this my wife had a 2008 Cadillac escalade ESV I made her get ride of it because of the way it rides we got a Tahoe! I love this car and will have them the rest of my life! :)
I work at Meadowood Napa Valley Luxury Resort, and all they have in their shuttle fleet is Chevy Suburbans, GMC Yukon XL's, and Caddy Escalade ESV's, I wish they'd broaden their horizons and pull some gorgeous Navigator L's into their fleet. Damn California and their obsession with General Motors
In Vegas some guy bought 65 Lincoln navigators all black out. I was damn why u need so much. He said this truck run 24/7 with the ac on and he said that there really good for the heat weather. I told him where u work at. He said I am and Owner for the Las Vegas taxi escort. Say what!!!!
desgin team for this truck: "ok. basically, let's take an Expedition, and add chrome everywhere possible, luxury interior, and coolness. and chrome. lots and lots of chrome" but I hav to admit, I dont hate it...
cadga1390, you said the gator is just an expedtion with a lincoln badge? i say; the escalade is just a tahoe or a yukon or a yukon denali with a caddy badge. btw, the escalade esv, it's just a suburban or a yukon xl or a yukon xl denali with a caddy badge and ESV stands for, Escalade Suburban Version.
Hey smart one, the Escalade was desinged form the GMC Yukon Denali, but was redesigned for the 2002 model year to make its appearance fall more in line with Cadillac's new design theme.
For me as a -german dude i find it interesting to see how the ford guys and the gmc guys battle each other all the time :D we have the same shit going on here with audi mercedes ans BMW ... (but of course you all know that bmw is best right? XD)
If I ever get better employment I may buy a used Navigator L or Ford Expedition EL as a secondary vehicle and use it primarily for leisure. And I would take the Navigator L over the Escalade ESV as I find Ford Motor Companies to have more durable vehicles then General Motors.
@MySamisbest actually, there is no low range. it just has high range, and i believe it has an automatic awd setting, which works the same all most others in this class.
hey bud, at one time i think that they were going to try to put the ford lightning motor in, but they decided that would be impractical, i might be wrong!
i like the interior "thene" a lot, overall i find the navigator very appealing, i'm curious what the next gen. will look like, the fron fascia is definitely a big hit and should generally be kept, only the tail lights and the overall rear could use some remodelling done to it.
im buying this over other options because.. 1. GM cuts so many corners & feel like cheap tupperware 11. Papa & Uncle Ray both drove clean Lincoln Town Cars that sentimental value matters a lot in my purchasing choice
The reason why, I say, the up-to-date Linc. Navi's exterior is better because. it's more flashier and, bold looking. Also..., you can't forget about the extra bling! ;-)
I'm a fan of Ford and Lincoln! I have a 2009 Expedition limited and I have all the same options. Smh The difference is the look. NOW the 2020 is a different story! 🤣
Freddy Medina They’re rather reliable. The power-deploying running boards are something someone might want to skip in the long run and the electronic air rear suspensions are a bit more costly to repair over standard struts. There aren’t any inherent flaws that should scare you away though.
well the thing that they didnt talk about is about the offroad ability on the Navi. even though its a Navi, you really dont expect a Navi pulling a trailer or hitting the mud as to a Land Rover LR3 or a Benz cuz its just a weriid thought or feeling
Great car for long road trip from NJ to Pennsylvania on a weekend! One fo the perfect examples of American Luxury Cars for all. Instead of European luxuries (with unnecessary features, most of them were stolen from American concepts) which can afford only 200-400 people in whole Europe, others use the shop carts. These poor people think that all American cars are luxury (Dodge Charger costs from $73000 in Ukraine), after that they compare the Chevy with Audi and wail: Wow! Chevy! It's soo cheap!
@Cargo1273 This cost just as much really. And it's just as luxury as they are. Oh and should I mention that the Navigator was first, and they merely copied it.
@Xenophene01 Hey that's what I say (with the chrome)!! And that isn't my biggest pet peeve; it's the fact that plastic lays underneath the shiny surface. If it were real metal works, then fine, I guess you can say "quality", but if plastic lays underneath, then it's basically scrap.
That may be true(as far as, the dash and, console goes)but, the new Navi. exterior body and, interior seats are waaaaay better than, the old version of the Navi..
Well..., I'll give the front of the exterior to the Escalade...and, give the rear to the Navigator. Interior dash goes to the Escalade but, the rest of the interior goes to the Navigator. I'm not even going to mention which one wins in the engine department(lol)but, wait til' Ford's new 6.2 Hurricane/boss 400+hp. engine is installed, later-on this year! ;-)
Oh yeah? Wow! That would've been something...but, probaly not a good idea. Hearing a wine from a SCr., in a luxury truck will definitely draw the wrong kind of attention.
I have a escalade it has a huge massive engine over 400hp lincoln cant do that, there the top line of luxury vechiles stop hating! the lincoln is amazing but stop hating
love you navigator no matter what nobody says - haters are just somebody that dosnt have what they want - and thats what navigator lovers and owners are - you are jsut to smooth for them - talke about a rebaged car - cadga1390 - u need to shut the hell up - idd rather get a danlie xl and get the exact same luxury for thousands more- they are twins if nothing else. get a life - LONG LIVE THE NAV.
Well I have three navigator and my brother has the 05 and 09 escelade I have the 1998 2006 and 2011 navigator but I must say I'm not a big fan of the 2011 I favor to tue 2006 it's flashy but not over exagrerating the car I love my 1998 navigator to it's just awesome but I'm thinking about goin to get the 2011 escelade esv platinum over the 2011 navigator
of course, they are all built on the same platform (GMT900), by the same company (GM), i thought it was kind of obvious, every company does that, where have you been?
At night I take off the battery cables so I have battery to start the engine in the morning. Probably the power lift gate sends a message that it is open and it trys to lock itself until the battery goes dead. I removed the fuse for the power running boards. They go out and in by themselves, Both sides wont stay out or in at the same time. Turning them off dont stop them. Two headlights at the Ford garage, $1600. installed New navigation DVD was $199. it is far out of date.
i believe north america is the only area that actually likes big suvs ( true 7-8 seaters) but they all lack in common technology. The escalade lacks much technology while the navigator is better but not much. While european and asian companies have oustanding features. EX: the audi q7 offers a panoramic sunroof, active cruise control, and impressive fuel economy.
@cadga1390 ! I am a doctor the Escalade stinks if i am going to spend 72,000 on a car it is going to be a car worth while so the Escalade crap is dumb! I love The Navi and will NEVER EVER get ride of! I actually just bought another
@PHOOBEAR22 Ya but if i am looking for a family car i am not going to be looking for something that can go super fast i am going to be looking for safety, comfort, and LOTS of room! You all may be looking for something to go 100 down the highway in but i am looking for a good family car! When i drove my Escalade that i had on a test tract at 100 it felt like i was drive 60 down a dirt rode it started Shimming not something i am looking for i am car!
imo, imitations like this makes the vehicle cheap unlike the navi-exped twins which does not have the same interior ques w/c i find less cheap looking.
300hp is a lot still in this Navigator i have a 2004 Lincoln Navigator and i put 24" rims on it and i got a 100pound system in the back and i still can pass other cars without a problem when i step on the gas it goes quick check out my whip on my channel
Nice car for the big families or just for fullsize luxury SUV fans. Just for Europeans and Jap adjudicators... So, please do not gad about the American cars at all. They have their own style of looking and driving, history and charm. So, do not type anything if you can afford the 200-euro 4-cilinder diesel FIAT in your 40, or 30-year-old Mercedes with luxury-rich-plastic interior. OK! This is your refind european style!
German cars have a lot of nice wood interior as well if you go for it and the huge extra costs. New s class is one hell of a good designed wooden interior. Love the lincoln too. Nobody cares about fuel consumption and i like that ! The engine will last a lot longer than all of the new supercharged 1 liter machines in the newer small cars xD
no - even though there size are payments comparable they mean different things- lade is a look cool go fast flashy to sexy to get dirty pussy but the Navigator is a true truck with it low range 4wd and it actley has room for people in the 3rd and 2nd row plus there stuff - I happen to be a big caddy fan but if you want a real truck NAVIGATOR IS HANDS DOWN #1 otherwise rappers and Florida retires that dont know how to drive in the snow go head with the lade

I've owned three Lincoln Town cars in the last fifteen years and I must tell you they're made extremely well. I put 350,000 miles on one Town car and it was still going strong. Amazing.
I've owned 13 lincolns!! Also sold them!! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and I just bought this exact vehicle!!! 💯 happy
yes I have serious sentimental value for Lincolns now because Papa & Uncle Ray drove Town Cars..now I wanted a Rover or Tahoe to keep jackers off me but..I think a retro Navigator like this..I can't see them running up on me in this..but it has high value to me & that interior wow..reminds me of Papa driving me to kindergarten..I gotta have it..Mama's last Cadillac Deville was so cheap..GM just doesnt care at all..I remember Ford was the only company to not get bought out or completely go under in the last recess..& I like that this has F-150 underpinnings
I personally think this is the most beautiful suv ever made.
Hey babygirl your fine as hell, damn
funny you say this 'cause ive noticed girls like it & the peggy bundy drove one in sons of anarchy
@@CCP-pb5ss currently watching soa right now lol
I love this car and hope to get one soon🙏
@@HamzaAlmahmoud-to9pd I had one for 5 years. It was a really good car. Really reliable!

im pretty convinced but this review being so recent is icing on the cake
I've been looking for this review 🎉
I owned one. Definitely loved it. 2nd and third generation Navigators were my favorite.

Hi still have it? How's it been or was it all those years owning one?
you guys have come a long way since these videos. good job!
I just bought this exact vehicle!! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL

MrGerardoMarquez what
Ha
I own one 🥰 happy as can be
im getting one of these next week
It looks way better than cadillac escalade. Fantastic luxury vehicle ever.
Very useful review - thanks!
my family has owned mavigator's sense the first lincoln truck came out. they are the best luxury truck ever.
interior of this lincoln is way cooler then its predessor i also like the retro gauge styling!
2015-16 model coming, cant wait to see it
I'm afraid it's going to be ugly but that stupid split grill.
not 2018 version. Navi is back
desgin team for this truck: "ok. basically, let's take an Expedition, and add chrome everywhere possible, luxury interior, and coolness. and chrome. lots and lots of chrome"
but I hav to admit, I dont hate it...
cadga1390, you said the gator is just an expedtion with a lincoln badge?

Hi. What do you think about rwd. 4x2?
@MySamisbest actually, there is no low range. it just has high range, and i believe it has an automatic awd setting, which works the same all most others in this class.
the escalade doesn't compare at all to the navigator L
the escalade to me looks the same on the inside as a suburban or tahoe/yukon....I love the interior on the navi
hey bud, at one time i think that they were going to try to put the ford lightning motor in, but they decided that would be impractical, i might be wrong!
idk what you mean, but except for the dash being a little more squared, it looks just like the expeditions, just more dolled up
I love the front end, but I can't say the same about the rear.
i like the interior "thene" a lot, overall i find the navigator very appealing, i'm curious what the next gen. will look like, the fron fascia is definitely a big hit and should generally be kept, only the tail lights and the overall rear could use some remodelling done to it.
i love the ride, i own a 2000 and i love it, i think it's great in the interior but a little too much squared
im buying this over other options because..
1. GM cuts so many corners & feel like cheap tupperware
11. Papa & Uncle Ray both drove clean Lincoln Town Cars
that sentimental value matters a lot in my purchasing choice
love it! 2008 is even better! i work at MTP and we produce quality!!! everyone working there has 13 years and up working there!!
we care.
The reason why, I say, the up-to-date Linc. Navi's exterior is better because. it's more flashier and, bold looking. Also..., you can't forget about the extra bling! ;-)
Watch Kelsey Mays' review of the Infiniti QX56 and see what he says... He said to just buy a Navigator.
I think this ride is much more interesting and better looking than it's competition. No wonder Ford isn't bankrupt.
i had both a gmc denali 2004 and navigator 2003, the navi won me over
I'm a fan of Ford and Lincoln! I have a 2009 Expedition limited and I have all the same options. Smh The difference is the look. NOW the 2020 is a different story! 🤣
The navigator has a lot less hp than the escalade but it weighs like 1000 pounds less
how reliable are these long term?
Freddy Medina They’re rather reliable. The power-deploying running boards are something someone might want to skip in the long run and the electronic air rear suspensions are a bit more costly to repair over standard struts. There aren’t any inherent flaws that should scare you away though.
haven't you noticed the dashboard of escalade, tahoe, yukon, suburban, denali and h2 look very much the same?
yes i have, thanks for asking before saying something stupid
ford did a good job this time!
well the thing that they didnt talk about is about the offroad ability on the Navi. even though its a Navi, you really dont expect a Navi pulling a trailer or hitting the mud as to a Land Rover LR3 or a Benz cuz its just a weriid thought or feeling
i like my white 09 navi with the monotone package so it has muuuuch less chrome and is great looking, great truck :)
yeah i definantly agree my dad has a 2004 and the trim is coming off and power running boards work when the want to. its crap!
Great car for long road trip from NJ to Pennsylvania on a weekend!

same here. I'd rather spend 18 grand on a 04 than the new ones coming out
I like Escalade more but true DVD Nav lol GPS is better.
@Cargo1273
This cost just as much really.
MrGoingFar I completely agree with you
naw its just that grill, look up the asanti grille for the 2007 navigator it looks much better, but the gator is still better than the slade to me
That may be true(as far as, the dash and, console goes)but, the new Navi. exterior body and, interior seats are waaaaay better than, the old version of the Navi..
overall this suv will beat the any gm competitor in reliability
I drove this beast It drives like a truck. Which I like!!
@columbuscrewfan20 4x4 is 4wd you can change it from 2wd 4 high and 4 low and no it isnt standard 4x2 is rear wheel drive
I see why people preferred the 2007 escalade
Well..., I'll give the front of the exterior to the Escalade...and, give the rear to the Navigator. Interior dash goes to the Escalade but, the rest of the interior goes to the Navigator. I'm not even going to mention which one wins in the engine department(lol)but, wait til' Ford's new 6.2 Hurricane/boss 400+hp. engine is installed, later-on this year! ;-)
Oh yeah? Wow! That would've been something...but, probaly not a good idea. Hearing a wine from a SCr., in a luxury truck will definitely draw the wrong kind of attention.
Man, I wish I could afford $5k a year in fuel cost.
That is a nice Lincoln. Is AWD standard?
I have a escalade it has a huge massive engine over 400hp lincoln cant do that, there the top line of luxury vechiles stop hating! the lincoln is amazing but stop hating
SWEET
they should have made a Lincoln version of the Ford Excursion back in the days!
Beautiful car, but I'd get some panel beaters to change the back of it for me, looks goofy.
love you navigator no matter what nobody says - haters are just somebody that dosnt have what they want - and thats what navigator lovers and owners are - you are jsut to smooth for them - talke about a rebaged car - cadga1390 - u need to shut the hell up - idd rather get a danlie xl and get the exact same luxury for thousands more- they are twins if nothing else. get a life - LONG LIVE THE NAV.
100 more horsepower, but another 1000 pounds for the Escalady.
Lincoln Navigator FTW
Just like the LandCrusier/LX570, Armada/QX56, Durango/GL550, etc.. ;-)
esta camioneta esta bien perrona nomanches wuey
Well I have three navigator and my brother has the 05 and 09 escelade I have the 1998 2006 and 2011 navigator but I must say I'm not a big fan of the 2011 I favor to tue 2006 it's flashy but not over exagrerating the car I love my 1998 navigator to it's just awesome but I'm thinking about goin to get the 2011 escelade esv platinum over the 2011 navigator
They should've designed the infotainment center much better,it looks soooooooo very dated, other than that it's a very nice vehicle....
lol no offense but i think 300 hp isnt enough for the sheer weight of this car
Except, the Escalade and, H2.
of course, they are all built on the same platform (GMT900), by the same company (GM), i thought it was kind of obvious, every company does that, where have you been?
@cadga1390 That is all the Escalade is a Really Dolled Up Tahoe
whats the frikkin minus gonna do
@cobrar123 Yes i would!
Wait til', Ford's new boss engine gets installed into this badboy! HotRod Lincoln is back! ;-)
Two headlights at the Ford garage, $1600. installed
New navigation DVD was $199. it is far out of date.

ill stick with my aviator

lincoln is best
A sweet car but a sort of exspensive car and a gas guzzler its only 13 city 18 highway
MBxpert15 old one was ugly are you blind?
Lincoln Navigators are way better than Cadillac Escalades
300hp is a lot still in this Navigator i have a 2004 Lincoln Navigator and i put 24" rims on it and i got a 100pound system in the back and i still can pass other cars without a problem when i step on the gas it goes quick check out my whip on my channel
Any problems i wan by one
Somehow it looks like "mom's minivan" from behind. Liked it better before.

@Toyfrogsrule Sounds like some one doesn't have to work for anything! Ha
Эт лучший тачила в мире.
Ya lets add leather seats and a sh*t load of chrome and call it "luxury"
Xenophene01 just like escalade and yukon denali
no - even though there size are payments comparable they mean different things- lade is a look cool go fast flashy to sexy to get dirty pussy but the Navigator is a true truck with it low range 4wd and it actley has room for people in the 3rd and 2nd row plus there stuff - I happen to be a big caddy fan but if you want a real truck NAVIGATOR IS HANDS DOWN #1 otherwise rappers and Florida retires that dont know how to drive in the snow go head with the lade
@TheModernConsumerInc! No! The Escalade is Crap you have no leg room! I am 6'4 doctor if i am going to spend 72,000 on a car it is going to be a NAVI
Kind of but it looks like it going to eat you!
ha, GM wins again
you're a rich boy i suppose.
you did not get the point young fella. think first before you post. yeah i know that escalade is a status symbol and you showed me yours, a trash talking young american boy.
