Any naturally aspirated engine that has anywhere near 1000hp would be banging off like a full on race car and would be extremely difficult to live with. Especially trying to drive it around on the street. It would foul out spark plugs. It would overheat and load up on gas at stop lights. It would spit and pop and blow fire out of the carburetor or throttle body. It would jerk, tug, spit and pop at normal speed limits and all kinds of other stuff that would make it extremely unpleasant to drive. So that lie is way over the top.
Maybe, maybe that engine had 450 hp
