I have my first competition on the 21st. Some of the minor stuff you guys speak on have made a noticeable difference in my understanding of the art. Like flipping on a light switch. Will update you guys after the comp. Appreciate the content!

I have my first comp in 3 weeks. It's a team vs team. Thanks for the great advice!

I will say when it comes to gameplan i dont make them 🤷‍♂️ i just play and have fun. Start off weestling if i get taken down great, if i get on top no worries either.

The bullpen beforehand. Star jumps to warm up...cooling down...star jumps to warm up...cooling down...star jumps...cool down...eventually sit down against the wall and chat. Your name is called...AND you're cold and stiff. The worst part.

I just had my first comp as a barely 3 stripe white belt. It was a complete disaster. I was analyzing my performance and found that I didn't have a game plan. I was too focused on points and couldn't get to my game. Also I got slept on my first match and I didn't feel right for the next 6 matches... Yes I had 7 matches 3 of which were blue and one was a beast wrestler, all young, I'm 43. I'm not sure I wanna compete again other than I want to get the bad taste out of my mouth.
