As you may have noticed I subtly made reference to the poor videos that are from the look at me generation. There was nothing really available to show Grand Palladium in a way that most people want to see and I knew this so I went there with full intent of making a video so that there was something online to give people a feel of what it's like to be there. Sometimes you have to do things yourself to get it done right 😂

So I made a commitment to create a video that has a clear view of the property , camera steady, the video I wanted to see. Now the internet has one. The more professional videos seem to be rushed, while talking at 90 miles per hour. Annoying
Thank you for sharing this video. Planning a trip in January with family and we are staying at the Lady Hamilton. I was really concerned about safety, however , Your video put me at ease as the property looks so relaxing and safe. Looking forward to watching your nightlife video.
Most resorts in Jamaica have private entrances, or are gated. No outsiders are on the property except for vacationers or employees. The properties are safe. Going off property you have to be careful. You should only use excursions sponsored by your resort.

We will be going back since I retired from the U.K. for the fifth time at the end of this month we stay at the Riu Negril on blood bay we love the beach also 7 mile beach is a free hotel bus ride away. Love snorkelling and look at the colourful fish we have been to a few places around the world but Jamaica has become are second home

I’ve been going to Punta Cana for years. I think I’m gonna try this resort out next in Jamaica. 🇯🇲 I wish for the good of the world that Canadians could learn the correct way to say the word about.

Totally agree with the lousy content covering this place on TH-cam. I was so frustrated with everyone in the look at me society only showing themselves or their clothes that I knew I had to fix this problem . So I set out to make a video that I would want to see, when looking at the possibility of going to a place ! I have been there 11 years ago for a wedding but my husband has not been. I can see you enjoyed your stay. Any suggestions you have for us i would appreciate. We are retired.
Yes, I have a few suggestions. As soon as you arrive, book your restaurants as soon as possible. There are open buffets at all times, but if you want a specific type of dining you need to book it. Bring a large drinking thermos with you if you don't want to travel back and forth to the bar, sometimes there are waits. You might want to bring a beach towel each. If you're near the water, bring your preferred sun protection.
Restaurants, you have to wait until you get there and I'm not sure about the excursions but I think you need to speak to somebody there at their tour center.

Live violin a 1 or 2 days through the week. Live Music at the night shows. I didn't see any live music at the pools except if you're sitting in a restaurant right next to the pool. If you are, I did see a solo saxophone at breakfast that may have been heard while in the pool.
Which building number did you stay at? We have booked a beachside oceanview room. We asked for an upper floor so i have a good view of the ocean. We leave in 7 weeks. So excited.

There is absolutely no pressure at all to tip. Not even a hint. Most people , like 90 percent plus , do not tip. We would tip about 5 to 10 American for meals. Rides to and from the hotel 20. Drink delivery 3 to 5. Again , you don't have to tip at all. We just like to give a little more. In total we tipped for the week about 600 American. Nobody would say anything if we gave 0. If you can , even just a little, or just once, I recommend you do.
Are you sure this is the same hotel ?!?!? There were zero guards at the hotel. Not even one in sight. Never saw one the entire time we were there. In this walk around video, did you see a single guard ?!? The answer is no. Not sure where you were staying. Perhaps you stayed at a different hotel ?
I didn't see many people smoking but I don't think they say anything about smoking. I bought a cigar and smoked it in the entertainment area upstairs without any problem at all. They sell cigars and tobacco of some type for some type of pipe there. I'm not sure exactly what it is but it's in my video's.
A wide variety of alcohol is there including Jamaica beer. Skating ? As in roller.blades ? I'm not sure , but I don't think they would mind you skating .
Lady Hamilton is said to be the better side. There was only one building that I saw that was under construction but don't expect dust and noise to be blowing around.
Not that I know of, I believe the buildings across the property are all stairs. There is an elevator in the main building , I think. If stairs are a problem, let them know you are seeking the ground floor.
They have such a huge resort that I think they split it in 2 And called one side the Lady Hamilton and the other side the Grand Palladium but don't quote me on that. The Lady Hamilton is closer to more restaurants and activities I believe. The grand Palladium has the kids water park on their side so adults might prefer the quieter side of Lady Hamilton. In all it's a family location.
It has a sports bar, there is also a place where they do night shows on a very small stage with good talent and drinks are served there or you can go to the bar and get your own (no cost of course). I don't think it's what you have in mind though.
The pools are not cold. Warm and easy to get into. The spa lazy river pool is the coolest because of all the shade over it. If you want somewhere to relax in the water and out of it, it's definitely the serenity spa fell asleep there! 😂

Thank you. Also, we stayed at the resort. Moving around off the resort may be unsafe. But at the resort it was absolutely safe.

When we were there it felt like Stalag 13 there are guards slash security guards outside every building worst experience had ever will never go back

The Jamaica side has kids water slides but I doubt they can be used by teens.

They were working on a couple of locations when I was there. I did notice they repainted the room doors of the building I was in.
