All the top teams have amazing wing or big players, and Wiggins was far more necessary during their playoff run than Poole was. I think Wiggins and Poole get about 30 mil, while both Dray and Klay end up in the 20-25 mil range. That leaves all of their core players being underpaid by roughly the same amount.

From what my limited knowledge is Jerry West is credited for dubs drafting Klay . Klay was basically playing in their backyard at Washington. Yea trailblazer are closer but for what ever reason passed him up in the draft or were behind the dubs in selection. Steph needs to reduce his salary by 10 million dollars. Green needs to reduce his salary by 10 million dollars, Clay needs to reduce his salary by 10 million dollars, now this will give the Warriors enough to sign Wiggins and Poole. Money comes from winning Championships.
klay should take a smaller contract because he knows the warriors committed to him even when he tore his ACL and stuck by him when he tore his achilles. draymond also knows he won’t get a max, despite what he says, which is an obvious negotiation tactic; you ask for a really high amount and then work your way down to the amount you actually wanted. wiggins i could also see as potentially taking less than a max because of how he finally found a home to turn his career and image around although that’s not guaranteed. if all these things go right then that should leave a decent amount of money on the table for the young guys.
Pool should take a 4yr 80 million deal and Wiggins should agree for a 2 year extension for 65-70million. Klay must take a pay cut as he was paid for 2.5yrs without playing. Draymond's best bet is in GSW, period. If all this happens warriors will open a 5 yr championship window starting this year.
Wiggins is more valuable because elite defense that can guard all positions is more valuable and rare in a player that is also a gifted scorer. Poole is not a very versatile defender. They would not have won that championship without Wiggins.
Let them play. Draymond, Wiggins, and Poole will all be playing for max contracts next year. Unless injured, they will be great. After another season the Warriors will know so much more about the young guys and what their potential is. Right now there is no good replacement for Wiggins or Draymond. Klay and Steph are still in their prime, making Poole a luxury item. Next year? Maybe Kuminga replaces Wiggins, maybe Donte or Moody steps up to fill Poole’s spot and maybe this year’s first round pick fulfills the greatness he showed in high school and replaces Draymond. All this will determine what the Warriors will do NEXT offseason.

Nope. Here's what could happen. Curry just signed a deal with UA worth over a billion dollars. Joe Lacob pulls Poole aside and lets him know they'll get a contract with UA for him, too. The contract doesn't count towards the salary cap. But it can pay long after the player retires year after year. In his case it could be renegotiated later on. It's a win-win for everyone. Poole gets security and a bag while playing for a lot less. Wiggins has been overpaid for years including receiving $33 million last year. He's thrilled to be with the Dubs, so he'd prefer to stay and keep winning championships. He sure as heck doesn't want to go back to the basketball hell he lived before. One key piece have been left out of this evaluation and that is player development. Wiggins wasn't half the player he is today before coming to the Warriors, who have the best player development program in the NBA hands down. As long as the Warriors keep the core of the team Curry, Klay, and Green they will be able to put other players in supporting roles that can do as good of a job as the current players in those positions on the team now. The Warriors draft well and develop players on a high level we will be just fine as long as we keep our main 3 players together #Dubnation.

From what my limited knowledge is Jerry West is credited for dubs drafting Klay . Klay was basically playing in their backyard at Washington. Yea trailblazer are closer but for what ever reason passed him up in the draft or were behind the dubs in selection. I think all the dubs starters lend in to taking smaller contracts for rings and endorsements from winning
Steph needs to reduce his salary by 10 million dollars. Green needs to reduce his salary by 10 million dollars, Clay needs to reduce his salary by 10 million dollars, now this will give the Warriors enough to sign Wiggins and Poole. Money comes from winning Championships.
Poole is on a championship team created by championship players, coach and management. Let's not get carried away with the Poole accolades.
klay should take a smaller contract because he knows the warriors committed to him even when he tore his ACL and stuck by him when he tore his achilles. draymond also knows he won’t get a max, despite what he says, which is an obvious negotiation tactic; you ask for a really high amount and then work your way down to the amount you actually wanted. wiggins i could also see as potentially taking less than a max because of how he finally found a home to turn his career and image around although that’s not guaranteed. if all these things go right then that should leave a decent amount of money on the table for the young guys.
Pool should take a 4yr 80 million deal and Wiggins should agree for a 2 year extension for 65-70million.
Klay must take a pay cut as he was paid for 2.5yrs without playing.
Draymond's best bet is in GSW, period.
If all this happens warriors will open a 5 yr championship window starting this year.

Wiggins is more valuable because elite defense that can guard all positions is more valuable and rare in a player that is also a gifted scorer. Poole is not a very versatile defender. They would not have won that championship without Wiggins.

Let them play. Draymond, Wiggins, and Poole will all be playing for max contracts next year. Unless injured, they will be great. After another season the Warriors will know so much more about the young guys and what their potential is. Right now there is no good replacement for Wiggins or Draymond. Klay and Steph are still in their prime, making Poole a luxury item. Next year? Maybe Kuminga replaces Wiggins, maybe Donte or Moody steps up to fill Poole’s spot and maybe this year’s first round pick fulfills the greatness he showed in high school and replaces Draymond. All this will determine what the Warriors will do NEXT offseason.

i agree i wouldn't give pool a young player a big contract maybe 60 mill for 3 years, means 20 mill a year, even that might be too big for someone who's had only one good year

I think we have Poole replacement in Donte, and Rollins on board. Kuminga may be Wiggins replacement. Problem we dont have Draymond replacement unless Trevion William shocks us in training Camp. Either way if we lose a player expect growing pains.

Wiggins is the least expendable player on the warriors next to step, he is their only perimeter defender. kumingas IQ is 3-5 seasons away on the defense end. Klay is a negative on D and so is is steph

i suspect, that this season will determine who stays and who goes to be with them in the future, think curry is going to have to be the only one who doesn't have to prove himself, every other player is going to have to prove they deserve to stay even klay and curry

Nope. Here's what could happen. Curry just signed a deal with UA worth over a billion dollars. Joe Lacob pulls Poole aside and lets him know they'll get a contract with UA for him, too. The contract doesn't count towards the salary cap. But it can pay long after the player retires year after year. In his case it could be renegotiated later on. It's a win-win for everyone. Poole gets security and a bag while playing for a lot less.
Wiggins has been overpaid for years including receiving $33 million last year. He's thrilled to be with the Dubs, so he'd prefer to stay and keep winning championships. He sure as heck doesn't want to go back to the basketball hell he lived before. He should be able to see that regardless of wherever else he might go, there is no way that team would beat the Dubs in the Finals. He can think of his present pay as having gotten his max early.

One key piece have been left out of this evaluation and that is player development. Wiggins wasn't half the player he is today before coming to the Warriors, who have the best player development program in the NBA hands down. As long as the Warriors keep the core of the team Curry, Klay, and Green they will be able to put other players in supporting roles that can do as good of a job as the current players in those positions on the team now. The Warriors draft well and develop players on a high level we will be just fine as long as we keep our main 3 players together #Dubnation.

they are in trouble with all that talent but i think there is a way which might be crazy for some, but i think they need to build a team around the younger 2. It sounds hard but i guess Draymond has to go. I really like him and he is very nice + important for the team, don't get me wrong, he is good, but what do you prefer: 2-3 good seasons or potentially 5-8 years playing at the highest level? I don't think they will trade away/let go Klay. But actually he would be the only other guy i would swap because of sallery and the age. Steph will 100% stay unless he wants to go himself.
