People think from this leak that they think of seeing Sora as a mii costume or calling it fake. It makes no sense for him to be a mii costume if this post said that he got rights to several tracks, which sounds more likely for Sora to be a fighter. I'm still hoping for Sora to be the final fighter.
Yeh I don't think that the mii costume theory makes a whole lot of sense given the context. But, we also have to remember that the details are not confirmed. So making theories about unconfirmed details is already a stretch. But hypothetically if these details are to be true, I don't think multiple music tracks would come with one costume.
Remember they are requesting rights for the digital event, not for the game. This is music that would theoretically play during the direct not music that is being added to the game. It’s possible that they need a bunch of songs to play in the trailer, the gameplay demo, and the stage demo. Or they wanted multiple songs for a mii costume reveal (multiple kh fighters as mii) or that (and this what I am hoping) they needed music for both a smash reveal and a kh port reveal. When I saw the original post weeks back I assumed the music was not for smash but for a port announcement that would happen at the next direct. (Prior to the confirmation of dates)
Like, let's be real for a second: why would anyone think this would be Sora becoming a mii costume, when the leaker said they're getting Kingdom Hearts TRACKS, with an 's' on it? That means that they're putting in more than 1 song with Sora, and with mii costume reveals they only reveal like up to 1 music track, and thats it. But since its talking about multiple musics, that means it makes more sense for that to be part of Sora's challenger pack.

If the event date was for a direct, a port would have been just as valid a reason to ask for multiple tracks as a smash reveal. For me the biggest detail is the date. The fact that they had that makes me lean towards thinking this actually happened. The question for me is did Nintendo request multiple songs for a character reveal or a mii fighter reveal. There were multiple undertale tracks that played in that direct even though only one song ended up in smash.

i wouldn't say i believe this leak 100% but calling the exact date of October 5th, the date of the Sakurai presents all the way back in July i would say it's definitely worth keeping in mind also considering this leak specifies several tracks it would probably mean Sora would be a Fighter as a mii costume would only need one and besides Sora has so much going for him as well, he's the most wanted character to join smash (including being my most wanted as well) and would be the perfect fighter for Sakurai to end smash bros on, the internet would just implode

This is too hype! Sora for smash is something I have wanted back in the wiiU and 3Ds games I don't care if this leak was real or not but i still want this!
By my calculations this person had a .65% - 1% chance of correctly guessing the date of the reveal. So yeah I would say there is a good chance it is real.
This is just a rumor with no evidence behind it. It's interesting that they specifically noted that they work for Disney music which is a branch of Walt Disney records that exists specifically for licensing so their story lines up. We also don't know when supposedly Nintendo asked for these songs for a digital presentation. We do know however that the licensing for use of a song in a game is treated way differently than using the same song in a trailer. Hence why cloud in smash 4 had more songs in his reveal trailer than he did in game.
Another example of music being used for the reveal that's not in the game is the overture from Dragon Quest when Hero was revealed. Though its weird to say...but even Disney would be kinder to licence their music for smash compared to Koichi Sugiyama, hence why we only got midi music for Hero instead of full orchestration tracks in Smash Ultimate.
Plus, Yoko Shimomura has made new Smash arrangements for so many DLC characters including Terry, Steve, Sephiroth and Kazuya. So she's on board for sure.

If you're making one last sora4smash speculation video, might I recommend talking about the seven squares list. It had been floating around before vergeben picked it up (a smash boards user by the name of fatmanonice I believe is the first person to mention it months before). It had sephiroth, Geno, slime, 2 of the 4 heroes, crono, and sora on there. 5/7 of them got in and I can easily see crono being a mii. And unlike this music rumor we know this one is real because Imran Khan after sephiroth was announced said he was planned around mid-2018 which is when the seven squares list started. This is also when hashimoto infamously tweeted the yes tweet (which when translated roughly means please Mr hashimoto with a tone of is this happening). TLD;R we basically know Nintendo went to SquareEnix to get sora but SquareEnix pointed them towards Disney.

What this means is not; they requested multiple tracks therefore multiple tracks are being added to smash. It could literally be that the need two tracks for a Sora reveal (either as a character or a mii).
Let’s not forget the Grinch Leak, it had far more coincidences lining up with it and it still turned out to be fake, it’ll be 3 years since that leak first surfaced and us still not knowing who did it.

It's not hard for someone to think that Sakurai would reveal something on that day to counter their hype since it's a common tactic. The leaker could've used that as an educated guess and made a story that's a little more subtle than "my dad works at Nintendo."
I'd be hopeful, but with all rumors and speculation, it's something I don't take at face value. If this is true, then there is a real possibility that this call was just for licensing for another announcement planned for October 5th of that year, but probably got shifted to another day. If it is for this specific presentation, then there's also the possibility that Sora will only be a mii costume, and not a fighter. The odds of this being evidence that Sora is the last fighter's pass character is not too likely to me. The biggest reason for that is with Smash's history of having the last character reveal be more underwhelming. With Smash for wii U, one of the last characters was Corrin from FE Fates. In Ultimate, the last main roster reveal was Incinaroar, and the last fighters pass vol 1 fighter was Byleth. With this history in mind, there is a way higher chance someone like Cinderace will be the last fighter. If I had any money, I'd bet it all on CInderace making it in over Sora for that reason alone. Sora is a character I really, really, REALLY want. I have not gotten a character I really wanted since Sonic in Brawl... Very few characters in Smash Wii U/Ultimate even come close to the same personal attachment I have with characters like Sora, and all the DLC has been characters I'm not too attached with. The closest I got to having a character I have an attachment with was Byleth because I played and enjoyed 3 Houses, and Sephiroth because One Winged Angel. I really want this leak to be true, but I also don't want to get my hopes up and be disappointed. Whoever we get will be a great addition to the game, regardless of whether I wanted them or not. But while I hope for Sora, I can't help but accept it will be Cinderace.
Ask yourself this question, what comes to mind when you think of October 5th? The final Smash Bros. Ultimate stream. What game came out on October 5th? Kingdom Hearts 1, 19 year ago. Would that make sense? And next year is Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary
I can honestly see (if the leak has some truth to it) Sakurai apologizing that he wasn't able to get Sora as an actual fighter and only a mii but he managed to get a few songs as compensation. Who knows though? 🤷♂️
Some people saying this is for a mii costume, possibly but why would they ask for so many songs for a costume haha but I'd be okay if it's just a costume, as long as it comes with a song or two I'm happy! 👍
I believe this leak may very well be real but I don't want to say its definitely real. Currently I'd say more or less 80% hope and 20% doubt. Some may see this leak and just think mii costume but yeah why multiple music tracks if that was all. The wait won't be much longer till we find out. I hope Sora can be the final fighter. In the meantime I'll be playing Super Robot Wars Z2.2 with an English patch.
Read the leak carefully it Says that Nintendo asked for the rights for KH músic for a Direct on October 5th. And the Direct was on September 24 so it's not the same date.

For me the is issue I have about this leak is the fact that yeah he got the date right but is the rest of the information really true? I mean there’s been tons of “leakers” that got the date right but the rest of the information is completely false. For Example, vergabin is a credible leaker that got most of his info correct but said that Master Chief was at the game awards for Smash but that never came true and this new credible leak who goes by Samus stated that the next character would be a character with two different Alteration. I want to believe it’s true but 90% of leaks that comes from 4chan don’t ever come true.
Yeh I shared that sentiment in the video. They could always have pieces of information that trickled down, and then fabricated a story around it to generate hype.
3:01 yeah if it's from 4chan, aka troll central for the internet, I find it likely that they could be part of the music team for the last smash character, but it could possibly not be sora, because the guy posting KNOWS sora is hype as hell so they troll by giving people false hope. I respect your opinion but I don't really agree. Just because we knew the character would be released in the months between August-December doesn't make stating the EXACT date and month just a lucky guess. Not only did they get the date of a nintendo presentation right, but they also got right what KIND of direct it would be, a smash direct. Sure, its anonymous, so its not concrete. But if you had to guess those two exact components months before they were revealed and got it right, I would say there's merit to that. I don't think there's anything wrong with your doubts, I have doubts too. But I also think guessing the date is something to keep an eye on.

I believe this leak may very well be real but I don't want to say its definitely real. Currently I'd say more or less 80% hope and 20% doubt. Some may see this leak and just think mii costume but yeah why multiple music tracks if that was all. The wait won't be much longer till we find out. I hope Sora can be the final fighter.
In the meantime I'll be playing Super Robot Wars Z2.2 with an English patch.
It could be music for that Disney game revealed on the direct. But it would be great it sora made it in smash
Read the leak carefully it Says that Nintendo asked for the rights for KH músic for a Direct on October 5th.
And the Direct was on September 24 so it's not the same date.

Its possible that this leak could be the real deal even tho it comes from 4chan which yeah they been known to post alot of fake ass leaks but idk they could be right on this one i really hope it is sora because thousands of people including myself are going to jump out of chairs saying yesssss nintendo has done it they gave us sora 😊

For me the is issue I have about this leak is the fact that yeah he got the date right but is the rest of the information really true? I mean there’s been tons of “leakers” that got the date right but the rest of the information is completely false. For Example, vergabin is a credible leaker that got most of his info correct but said that Master Chief was at the game awards for Smash but that never came true and this new credible leak who goes by Samus stated that the next character would be a character with two different Alteration. I want to believe it’s true but 90% of leaks that comes from 4chan don’t ever come true.
Yeh I shared that sentiment in the video. They could always have pieces of information that trickled down, and then fabricated a story around it to generate hype.
I don’t know anything from 4 Chan well we don’t know if the leak is real or fake until October 5th
3:01 yeah if it's from 4chan, aka troll central for the internet, I find it likely that they could be part of the music team for the last smash character, but it could possibly not be sora, because the guy posting KNOWS sora is hype as hell so they troll by giving people false hope. If it is sora though, I expect some crazy as shit air combos.

Thinking Sora is leaked because some random dude on 4chan happened to guess the right date is so stupid. Everyone's acting like that's impossible but it's really just 1 in 365 which isn't really that rare. In fact it'd be a lot less rare than that because he made this prediction just a few months ago so it'd be the number of days left in the year since he said October 5th. Didn't he say it in like July or something? So that's like 1 in 150? Dude rolling snake eyes 3 times in a row is more rare than that I'm pretty sure and that happens all the time in monopoly. Plus think of all the other people online making random date predictions and getting them wrong. If you have enough people guessing random days then of course someone is going to say the right date. This is just dumb. It's just a coincidence. He guessed a date and happened to be right. Nothing more
I respect your opinion but I don't really agree. Just because we knew the character would be released in the months between August-December doesn't make stating the EXACT date and month just a lucky guess. Not only did they get the date of a nintendo presentation right, but they also got right what KIND of direct it would be, a smash direct. Sure, its anonymous, so its not concrete. But if you had to guess those two exact components months before they were revealed and got it right, I would say there's merit to that. I don't think there's anything wrong with your doubts, I have doubts too. But I also think guessing the date is something to keep an eye on.

The 4chan post claiming Sora will be in Smash Ultimate guessed the date by coincidence, and either the same user or someone else reposted the story with a different date. It does not mean anything for Sora's chances one way or another.
