  • Built in 1715 as a Baroque planned city, Karlsruhe is celebrating its 300th anniversary around the castle. The city is now a center for art and media technology. At the beginning of the 18th century Margrave Karl Wilhelm built Karlsruhe according to the ideal of an absolutistic city.

Yes. it's sad that so much got destroyed in WW2 in Germany. But: There
ís still so plenty of culture and old architecture. And the amzing thing
is that a lot of German's feel the same as you do and they pursue more
and more for original reconstruction of the historic buildings which provide identity.
There are many examples of current reconstructions: Dresden, Potsdam, Berlin. In Frankfurt a big part of the old town is being erected, again. Come and discover Germany! Today it's architecture is well protected, cared and preserved.
