Sairam, amazing! Thanks for this video! Please clarify about the word "pradatam" in Vibhuti mantra third line, all these years I have been singing as Moksha Pradanam, whereas the original version she sings as " Moksha Pradatam". Was it changed by Swami to Pradanam. if not, then lot of us who sing it as moksha pradanam will have to correct and sing as "moksha pradatam" including the one on Radio Sai I heard!
With one exception, everywhere around the world I have been I only recall it being printed as "pradatam". This is including song and prayer books which have been updated from "Lokah Samastha" to "Samastha Lokah" as Swami instructed in 2008. Obviously these sources are not independent; they draw from the same source so they could all be outdated/wrong. But that they change the peace prayer tells us the typist is aware of things Baba said 10 years ago and suggests that "pradatam" was correct 10 years ago. It doesn't tell us anything about a possible change in the last 10 years. The one exception I remember seeing is on the packets of vibuhti purchased from the ashram store in the heat-sealed pale-yellow opaque plastic bags which were introduced some time in the, I believe, late 1990s (at latest). On those it is spelt "pradhanam", a slightly different transliteration but the same word as "pradanam". (The same packet also uses the variant transliteration "vibhooti".) These packets are older than 20 years. This is at least 10 years before the peace prayer change, plenty of time for knowledge of a deliberate change to have spread. Because the original version as given in this video is "pradatam", and "pradhanam" has been seen for over 20 years but the same people who changed printings of peace prayer haven't changed vibuhti mantram printings, I am comfortable believing "pradanam" is an error and "pradatam" is correct. Hopefully someone more learned than I will come and confirm or correct my belief.
Pradatam is the original word and fits with the overall meaning of the prayer - that which offers Moksha. It has to be sung always with the correct meaning.
Originally it was Pradatam as Mani aunty has mentioned. It is better we use Pradatam which means this mantra grants us liberation. Pradanam and Pradhanam are also right. The former meaning - it can give us liberation and the latter meaning - it is very important. Sometimes over the years some words get replaced... and as long as it conveys a good meaning people accept it.
@@SriSathyaSaiOfficial Sairam! Thanks for your reply. Meanwhile, before your reply got posted, I had asked a known Sanskrit teacher. I was told "Pradata" is giver, "Pradanam" is giving and fits in with the meaning as giving liberation. Sanskrit Dictionary also corresponds with it.There is no word as pradatam I was told in the dictionary. "Pradhanam" anyway does not fit in here. So, I intend to continue as "Pradanam" as of now.
Sairam, it is also sung widely as "Moksha Pradanam" and we were taught to sing as pradanam. So before I change the singing pattern, I look forward to a verified reply from RadioSai !

I had same question. RadioSAI needs to confirm if either Pradanam or Pradhatam are okay, if Pradhatam conveys the correct meaning .
