Hellacious mountain peaks covered in icy snow, reminds me of Alaska. Real kick ass country there in the S. Alps. Hate broken rock. Used to hunt Dahl sheep and mountain goats, more cussing than shooting.

Think about an exercise bike for the off time to keep the legs up for mountain hunting season. Might get you another 10 years tahr hunting.

Most camping supply stores and outdoor sections carry the plastic egg protectors. Best invention since the snot rag.
Used to wear the Southern Cross combat unit patch, 23rd Infantry Div Americal Vietnam, in the mountains, hot stinking jungle creeks crawling with bugs and leeches in the valleys and straight up hills.
Now, the most elevation change I do is rolling out of bed.

Hunters Element Spur trousers. Lightweight and doesn't restrict tbe legs range motion. Pretty warm with a thermal undernesth bit also fairly cool for pants on their own. Was hunting near Omarama round new years and at no point did my legs feel like they were overheating.

I just got rid of the same puffer that you have in this video, compared to the Kuiu one it was terrible. It sweats, is bulky and heavy. You might like to watch the Kuiu video on puffers, very interesting. Another great video mate.

Cant go past cuben fibre gear imo. Been running a cuben tent for 7 years and 70l pack. Pack weighs 1.1kgs, tent weighs 500grams. Tuff as hell, totally weather proof. Nothing else comes close!!
