Beautiful fish! I hope you realize though LeMon is just a little bit too large to be Zeus 's prey that won't last long. Oscar may prey on fiingerling Peacock bass. Peacock bass will prey on adult Oscars as soon as they get big enough. Maybe Zeus will always believe LeMon is just a tank mate, I wouldn't count on it.

That's a good move, Oscars are the more aggressive though so watch them.. good save on the Flower Horn. Next time you get a fish in the mail and they're really cold like that fill up a bucket halfway with hot water and let the bag float in the hot water for a few minutes covering the bucket so it warms it up a little faster. Don't use boiling water or leave it too long and don't open the bag until just before you put it in the tank. That way it won't shock the fish so much when you just drop them into the warm tank water. Cool to warm to fast will shock them and make recovery even harder.. on a stressed out fish.

Most of the time all that you need to do is put them in front of your canister filter or the flows coming out that helps a lot little secret anytime a fish is in shock you don’t want to have too many air bubbles going in and out their gills because it messes with their swim bladder
Bass are very greedy best get Big's friend outta there.. Lemon is about to star emergency blinkin at u so keep your eyes on that tank.. saw a bass get real greedy and try to eat the young catfish he knew it was risky he had scars from the baby catfish, still podnuh woke up and found him bleeding and sinking catfish was just fine..he's the only 1 left in the tank besides his gangster crawfish.

So my Oscar is about 8 months old, he ate a pinkie mouse and a lizard I caught from the yard all in a few days time. He now has what appears to be a turd he can't punch off hanging out, but I have read about distended colon syndrome happening. What can I do to tell the difference ? I don't plan on feeding him anymore for a few days to be sure in the meantime.

Your flower horn looks like it has kamfa blood cause of the white in the eyes. They usually take longer to mature and get their big lump

Do you know why Florida introduced the Butterfly Peacock bass in their waters? To eat the invasive Oscar and Tilapia. Luckily your Oscar's are as big as Zues so it could work out, but I'd be real cautious.
