after watching your video I went back through the old family 8mm films my dad took when he and my mum first moved to CA from Scotland. One of their movies was at Knott's, back in 1967(?) with my brother (around 3 at the time) and my Gran, Aunt, and Uncle when they were in visiting from Scotland. Anyway, there's film of them riding the train (#41), and even footage of the Old MacDonald's Farm! I'm so glad I went back and looked at that footage! Seeing it then and now brings back all the memories!
When I lived in Riverside I had a boysenberry plant 🌱 from a 75 year old Knotts berry plant. Left 10 years ago how I miss my thumb size o so sweet berry.
When I lived in riverside I had a boysenberry that was from a knotts berry plant 🌱 that was around 75 years old. The fruit was bigger than my thumb and o so sweet. Wish I still had them. But live in Northern California now
It was wonderful to meet you near the Wagon Camp theater this day. My sister and I appreciate you taking the time to talk with us and to take a sick pic with us! It made our day! We appreciate all of your adventures! Happy belated birthday!
Happy Birthday!!!! need to come to Bisbee Arizona you can take a real mine tour in a a mine cars great little minning town with the Copper Queen Hotel which is haunted and a great mine pit lots of fun
The Jeffries barn used to be in Burbank, Ca and was owned by Heavyweight boxer James Jeffries. It was where they held boxing matches from 1931 to 1953.
I haven't been back to KBF since I was in High School in the late 70's. I remember it was a lot of fun! I am a lover of Classic TV, and not too long ago I watched an episode of You Bet Your Life & Walter Knott's was a contestant, gotta say, it was pretty cool seeing him on there from so long ago!!! Love your videos, they make me laugh & smile!!! 🌼
I just love Knotts. My favorite, maybe even more than Disneyland. Yeah, I said it! My favorite rides at Knotts, the Stagecoach, Log Flume, The Train, and the Calico Mine Train. I could stay in the Ghost Town all day.
It's really nice seeing all of these videos! I grew up in Southern California and went to Knott's and Disneyland a few times as a kid, so watching these extended event videos brings back moments and memories that I completely forgot about. It's awesome.
My husband went down to KBF on the first day of the Boysenberry Festival to pick up some boysenberry plants. They usually sell out the first day 😂 He bought 3!
your videos enrich my experience because of the history you share. I was sharing the information you provided about the bottle house notes with my kid. it was super fascinating. You should do a video about bob the woodcarver who made all of those missions in the park.
Fun Do you know what happened to the big dog that used to be outside the candy shop? This was back in the 60s when there was no entry fee. To here was bc a rose garden, I believe, with a big St. Bernard dog. I sat on it many many times.
A spoon for Mom to punish you with LMAO!!!!They use to have such hot bandits!!!For some reason they always came to me.........I was even abducted once.I once had a whole movie theater to myself.......was watching battle of The sexes. It was so cool!Buy that darn chicken!!!! Where independence hall was use to be a jungle walk.....carousel and tiny train ride...........loved taking my daughter there!
Just grab yourself an electric Chainsaw, while never super powerful it'll let you do projects at a noise level similar to other power tools and the right PPE will prevent limb loss, you'll be making blood free Tiki Totems in no time. My Dog also incidently approves of the Rubber Chicken and I love the black light stuff as I'm experimenting with it myself trying to figure out how to mix in colour to the UV paint I have to do some retro futurist space stuff for my mini arcade stuff.
Hey Justin - Earlier in March this year, while boarding the Calico Mine Ride, I asked the ride attendant some question about the age of the Calico Railroad and train. He went on to mention that Knott's is planning to significantly re-route the train to add stations (like DL). He also stated that it would come with a park expansion. Any news or validation from your end?
Thanks!
Looks like so much fun !!!!!
Lots of fun at Knott s Have a great week

I might have missed it, but they sell the boysenberry plants there on "Boysenberry Lane " this year.

I wonder what Julio will say about your new chicken friend!!
Kinda scared of little rubber chickens now.

Two things i took away from this, 1. being reminded about being paid in beer in bands and 2. being annoyed with squeaky chickens
More rubber chicken please 🐓
The spiky blond highlight? I wonder what you have done!
Julio is so mad right now
Electric chainsaws are quieter than gas ones.
