    Thank you for taking me back to the Bungle Bungle. I haven't been there for 25 years and still think the drive in was one of the best drives I've ever had. It took me half a day to do those 50kms but it was hell rough back back then. And though a slow drive in, I wasn't bored for a moment with all the views and challenges en route.
    Cheers guys.

    Drill some holes in the rubber on the plunger so it creates an agitation type effect, thats how i do all my washing while camping works awesome.

    the road going into the bungles is usually worse on the station side. once you cross into the national park side its usually better as it gets more attention. If it was half ok for you then you were more lucky then most. but yes 4x4 camper trailers and 4x4 vans should be ok on the tracks. its an amazing place and your lucky to be able to stay a few nights. Happy travels.

    These videos are ace. The family, the filming, the driving, the van, the drone, the 4X4. it's just great. Cant wait to see where we go next. I am not sure if you realise these videos are the best while at home in Victoria. I would really like to know what add ons/mods to the 4x4 you have done for the trip. (if you have time). Really enjoying your trip. Many thanks for filming it all, I am sure it takes a lot to put it all together. All the best to you 3. Safe travels.

    Another great episode guys. loving it. We use a Ezywash hand powered washing machine and it works good. they are cheap and dont need power. its just a bucket on a bracket that allows you to spin (tumble) it around by hand. Just incase you and to replace your washing machine with an alternative.

    Another great episode guys. Just the right balance of travel, family and adventure. Whats the deal with no drone flying in areas??

    • @WildTouring
      @WildTouring  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They're accounting for the minority who do the wrong thing with them I suppose. But the annoying thing is that it's only the people that do the right thing that follow the rules anyway! We see drones up all the time in unauthorised areas, restricted airspace, flying above people/buildings/vehicles/animals and plenty of other breaches of the CASA (civil aviation) regs. Eventually we will all need a licence to fly them :(

    • @ufargarnidgit1927
      @ufargarnidgit1927 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Can't fly drones at the Bungles because normally there are helicopter's and light aircraft doing the scenic flight's for tourists. In a normal (non Covid) year, it get's very busy with aircraft in the peak tourist season.

    • @WildTouring
      @WildTouring  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The vinyl cover came standard with the van. Seems to work well as we haven’t had any dust problems in the van. The fridge vents just had a paper type filter over them which didn’t keep the dust out. We ended up covering off the vents as we don’t have a fridge in there anyway so don’t need the vent.

      Mike I can honestly say that so far the van has been brilliant. We've had very few issues with it. No dust or water ingress into the main body of the van. No major failures of any sort. Tows really well, it's comfortable and well equip for off-grid living.

    Not sure what the issue is with drones in some of these places. We have that problem as well in many places when there are no people around.

    • @krump7429
      @krump7429 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In WA it has to do with being a nuisance to the public and wild life. Some animals need a specific distance of seperation that has to be observed under the biodiversities act. Basically they are saying they dont trust 100% of the drone users to do the right thing. Which i think is fair, as not all humans cant be trusted to do whats right. So they just blanket ban drone use.

    • @WildTouring
      @WildTouring  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Correct 😊 and still people don’t do the right thing even with the blanket no drone rules. We saw a fair few drones up in the bungles. Really grinds our gears when we do the right thing, but so many choose not to 😠

    • @krump7429

      @@WildTouring it's unfortunate some people don't do the right thing. Restrictions are ever increasing partly perhaps because of that. In a normal tourist season I imagine there would be quite a bit of scenic flights traffic and so perhaps there's an additional risk from drones that can and do sometimes go on excursions of there own. Looks like you're all having a wonderful time. Best wishes

  • @lhumpy190
    @lhumpy190 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    What is the reasoning behind no drones in certain areas? Can anyone shed some light on that for me please?

    • @WildTouring
      @WildTouring  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on a few factors, with CASA you need to be aware of distance from local air spaces. But then a lot of national parks, private land owners etc will also ban drone use, stating privacy to other patrons, nuisance to animals etc.
