That walkway reminds me of Hudson yards in NYC but Shanghai seems more spaced out, clean and planned especially in the newer districts but it looks too imposing. Anywho great walkthrough. I remember visiting there in 2014. Not much has changed. It’s strange seeing other cities in China have grown and developed so much in that same amount of time.

No me considero retrograda, porque acepto lo que venga, pero tú sabes que lo mio no es la modernidad, ni las agujas de concreto, ni los obeliscos, ni los grandes rascacielos, aunque sea la respuesta a la solución por la constante expansión y el crecimiento urbano con una belleza camuflada, Admiro la nobleza de las oficinas de planeación de la ciudad, que aunque se le dió paso al patrón arquitectónico moderno impuesto desde el siglo 19 para acá, se conserva la identidad tradicional del modelo nacional; cuando llegaste a YUYUAN, lancé un suspiro, será por esa nostalgia trasnochada que poseo por el pasado, nos pusiste el parangón de lo muy moderno, de lo muy de hoy y lo intermedio, con lo de ayer, CHEVRE..! I could not find any small spot like this clean and neat in New York City. Rockefeller plaza is clean and beautiful, but only inside… but the on the street outside, you know it:)

These are 900 million urbanized middle-class Chinese. they live like this- safe, freedom to travel, buy what they want, enjoying the modern life. but there is still another 600 million that will be joining them very soon. the fact that China has a middle-class population that is more than the entire US and Europe's population combined is the most amazing thing. 80 years ago, China was poorer than all but 1 African country, poor dirty and malnourished like India, today, after about 3 generations of hardwork, sweat and blood, China became the largest, most powerful industrialized manufacturing country in the world. And even though it is still considered a developing country (2024 GDP per capita is $13,000 USD), it is ironically highly advanced, leading in 37 out of 44 of the most crucial technologies. It is also the only country in the world that is truely self-sufficient. China is also the only ancient civilization to have returned to back to its original spot as one of the most powerful states in the world. Amazing country!

This area in Shanghai is one of the earliest developed regions, with buildings that are over a hundred years old 🦆
Nanjing Road has a history of over 100 years and is filled with historically preserved buildings, retaining its historical characteristics. For over a century, it has remained the liveliest street, while other areas in Shanghai have seen the development of new commercial streets that are more modernized.

자기 나라가 잘될려면 통신비가 싸야해. 그리고 인터넷 접근성이 아주 쉽고 편리해야해. 그걸로 통신회사들이 엄청난 돈을 버는것보다, 나라 발전을 위해선 통신비가 싸서 접근성이 높고 그에 관련한 회사들이 크는게 맞아. 이건 실험해보면 알아. 5년뒤 10년뒤 실험해보면 어떻게 두 국가가 차이나는지 알수있다.

코로나때 일본하고 한국 행정능력도 엄청 나이났어. 한국은 모두다 인터넷으로 코로나 지원금을 신청해서 받았는데 단 며칠도 안걸렸5천만명이 하는데 며칠도 안걸렸어. 그런데 일본은 인터넷으로 네트워크 행정을 처리하는속도가 느리고, 우편으로하고, 손으로 했잖아. 그래서 그때 화제가 됐잖아. 한국은 엄청 빨리 코로나 지원금 신청받고 돈을 지급하고 행정속도가 빨랐는데, 일본은 우편으로 그걸 하니까 몇달걸렸잖아. 인터넷의 보급이 편리하고, 사용이 쉬워야해. 그럼 이게 뭔 차이냐? 통신비가 비싸면, 인터넷 사용가구가 줄지, 그러면 그런 행정처리도 인터넷 사용량이 90%이상 100%에 가까운 나라와, 50% 60%인 나라의 차이는, 엄청나다. 절반만 손으로 접수받고 우편으로 처리한다해도, 그건 시간이 몇배나 걸려. 무조건 인터넷 접근성이 좋아야해. 그런 나라가 빨리 발전해.

중국은 한국이나 일본에 비해서 전혀 뒤떨어지는 느낌이 1도 없어. 완전 성공했어. 도쿄나 서울하고 비교해서 뒤쳐진다는 느낌이 없어. 겉모습은 그래. 건축물, 고층빌딩, 도로, 지하철 버스, 공항, 모든 그런 인프라 시설은 확실히 다 따라잡은거같아.

중국은 통신비를 정말 싸게하고, 거의 모든 사람들이 인터넷 통신을 당연하듯 기본적으로 접근하도록하고, 그렇게 사용자를 늘려서 알리나 테무, 인터넷 방송, 동영상 방송, 포탈사이트, 이런것뿐만 아니라, 행정까지도 인터넷으로 처리하도록해야해. 증명서 발급, 코로나 지원금 신청 이런것들도, 전부다 인터넷으로 다 바꿔놔야해. 그래야 나라가 빨리 발전해. 그럴려면 인터넷 통신비가 정말 싸고, 접근성이 좋아야해. 이거 없이는 어떤 나라도 발전하지 못해. 불가능해. 실험을해보면 알아. 인터넷 접근성 편리성 이런거 없이 절대 발전없어. 선택이 아니야. 필수야. 선택으로 더 발전할수있는 방법은 없어.
