  • Joey Loperfido made an incredible play for the Space Cowboys and the highlight was deleted?? Did the Astros force the Space Cowboys to delete their highlight & tweet to protect Jose Abreu?

Abreau’s hand eye coordination is declining fast. It’s not his fault. People ages at different times and speed. Abreau’s hand/eye coordination is being deteriorating at a pretty good speed. No one’s fault. Always look at youth before laying out the cash for old folks because you are just gambling with Father Time.

Bagwell appears to be calling the shots and Crane is allowing it. Dana and Joe are too new to exert any authority. Loperfido never played once at 1B while he was up...that tells me a lot. Dana and Joe likely planned on playing him at 1B a good bit, but Bagwell and his clique wouldn't allow it. Bagwell is thinking about himself, his reputation and not the team.

I remember when Jose Abreu was with the White Sox and the Astros played them. Astros pitchers had a tough time getting him out. When it was announced Astros were picking him up I thought the team was getting much better. I think it's time for Abreu to hang it up. There's a time when all good players have to quit because they can't perform anymore and I think that time has come for Abreu. It's also time for Astros management to understand this. I think they do but because of Abreu's contract it's like pulling a porcupine out of their arses.

This organization has gotten rid of analytics and that is why we are struggling. The reason the Astros went to 7 straight ALCSs and won 2 WS in that time was due to analytics.

Abreu is, as has been said, TOAST! He didn't do anything in Florida and he did even less in Sugarland. He needs to be gone, yesterday. They need to get back to what worked for them. Analytics. Bagwell's "baseball feel" doesn't work. Also Dubon should be playing 5 or 6 days a week! Center, 1st, 3rd, SS, Left and 2nd. Move him around, but keep his bat in the lineup!

1-4 since he came back. Wish Jim Crane would just swallow his pride and send him down or just DFA him. This team had a good vibe until he started playing last year, and the Astros promptly ended their opening game winning streak the first time he stepped into Minute Maid. Bad juju.

I don't understand how these athletes get crazy contracts and when they don't perform, they still get the money. Why not say, "hey, I know I suck, can we renegotiate my terms because you are paying me too much and that money can be used to make the team better". I know that wont happen because unless you are a grinding young player, it isn't about the game, its all about the money.

I'm pretty sure with a little training I could play a better first base, but jokes aside this is wha tthe Astros do. They refuse to play Yordan at first, we don't know how that'd turn out, but it'd be interesting to see. They said Tony Kemp can't play second and that's literally the only position he looked competent at. I know there have been more that aren't coming to mind at the moment. It's just them trying to cover up for a mistake they made. And I think we'd all respect them more if they'd just admit it and move on.

@@TranslateToEnglish I don't give a damn how long you've been watching baseball. My father in law has been a fan and watched games daily for over 50 years but doesn't know the finer points of the game. If you're saying Abreu can pick it with anyone you don't know what you're watching. Of course they have to give throwing errors to JP and Breggy but even an average MLB 1st basemen make the plays he's been booting. For you to call Abreu 's defense good gives me serious doubts about your knowledge of the finer points of the game. I'm 50 and played competitively until my mid 20's. Good luck changing my mind
