bit of a picky answer, Elder kai fusing with the witch technically happens first (I think) but if you're talking episode by episode then nail and piccolo

Vegito's manga chapter released January 24th, 1995
Gogeta's movie released March 4th, 1995.
So for the general public, Vegito did indeed come first, even if Gogeta was designed for the movie before Vegito was for the manga.

Chronologically, it’s Piccolo and Nail. In universe, it’s Elder Kai and the witch.
It kind of reminds me of the “which is the first Pokemon” question between Rhydon, Mew, Arceus, and Bulbasaur.
Lots of technicalities here, but as long as Nano does not switch between what comes first, then it should be fine with Piccolo and Nail being first

My favorite what if from the older dragon ball games is the one from the first Budokai were cell absorbs krillin when he tried to get 18 and you have to fight I think it's either 16 or 18 or you fight both but I also think it's just 16 but I don't remember that part much just cell turning in to a orange cell jr with the turtle logo on his wings it was hilarious and fun to play as
First fusion lore wise in dbz is probably elder kai and the witch then piccolo and nail followed by piccolo and kami then gotenks, gogeta, kibito and vegetto

the "what if" question would be better phrased as "which of these was first" the first itself can be tricky to measure. super gokuden 2 had what ifs but was only released in japan (With a fansub of it). 1 might also have what if stories.

If the first fusion in z is meant to be as the first episode we see fusion I agree but if it meant the the first fusion in the timeline we see, it would be elder kai with the witch, its a later episode but it happened way back in time as a flashback.
The fusion question is tricky because in the timeline the first fusion what’s the witch with the old Kai. Think this question should have specified if it’s first we learn of or first in timeline…

You just basically said the same thing except fuufuu instead whowho. I saw this everywhere, but found respectable sources that showed the original name was what I used in the quiz. Either way, same thing and completely different from every answer on the question.
While we Americans call it "Namekian Fusion" it's literal name is assimilation. Two Namekians don't become one, one Namekian absorbs the other. I don't consider that fusion any more than I consider Buu or Cell absorbing people to be a form of fusion.
Edit: Also it was called "Sync with Nail" in one of the old Dragon Ball Z games, I think one of the Budokais, but that's where my understanding of this technique started. The game used "sync with Nail" and "Fuse with Kami" which made sense to me since Kami and Piccolo are two halves of the same person, while Nail is a random unrelated Namekian.
