I've always found woodworking a fascinating experience since first trying it in high-school. But now I've finally started getting tools for the trade and for carving and being creative with wood. It's my beginning. We all start somewhere in something that captures our heart. Thank you for sharing. You are amazingly beautiful in all ways and it transfers to the things that you create with your hands, heart, and inspiration 🙏🏼💯✨️
Your mastery of all of the skills needed to even think of this project is dizzying. It's inspiring and something to shoot for in the coming years but... Wow... you are a wood working super hero!!!
Shew wee.. finished a dutch tool chest with bread boarded ends.. now gonna start on a shave horse!...thanks for your help a while back on the dutch tool chest ☺
My favourite wood shave on youtube. Love the tractor seat. Santa T shirt kinda cool as well! Many thanks for posting and hope your dreams all come true.
Hi Annie It is good to see your mom in the videos. Hope your doing well. We have the home and garden show this weekend so I reserved 2 booths for the firewood elevaters. Kinds cold here in Lakeside. Stay well Frsnk
I love the design of your shavehorse, I 'm in the process of doing that same thing, compiling and modifying different designs of a piece you like, and creating something you like more, making it your own, yours looks great and shows your level of skill, it reminds me of tools, that First Nation People would make Centuries ago, all of them were so Beautiful and artistic, and in a way had their own signature, I Love Seattle I lived there for 16 years
Very nice work, now all you need is a little screened in work area with a roof and dog door by the garden. Fresh air with a cool breeze and enjoy the outdoor sights and sounds even in the rain but not the bugs.
Great build! I love working with these! Will probably build one for myself one day. We keep trying to reinvent the wheel when people had things figured out a long time ago... Loved the video and your enthusiasm! Keep up the great work!
Really came out clean looking. Like the decision on the finish of the fasteners. We were recently reminded that vinegar to strip the zinc coating so since I've haven't use muriatic acid in forever, we went with what we had on hand for use on a mole trap trigger and it worked like a charm. Now I'm wonder how much faster muriatic acid would have completed the same task. Oh that seat is epic! I've always wanted one to use as a shop stool. Also watching the seat creep forward at 3:51 was hilarious.
You have an impeccable eye for detail, Anne. 👍 Putting your own spin on the things you make truly is what makes it yours, a little piece of you in every project. 👌 Love your work, looking forward to more on this channel.
That tractor made me think of my Grandpa on his Farmall M! Great idea! When you get to Nashville you may have to take up beekeeping as well as you won't have enough to do! HA HA :)
Watching this, reminded me of the channel "Mr. Chickadee'. It's fascinating to watch him make all his one stuff with old style/traditional methods and tools.
Anne of All Trades great idea and had thought about it but I'm lazy lol.... Leather is usually winter basement activity. I'd have to drag it in and out 😊
lol, you haven't seen my walls. I have used EVERY bit of wall surface for tools, shelving and MORE TOOLS. At this point, I'd have to stick it outside or on my roof. :P
I need to make something like that except with I really need to have a changeable work surface from the shavehorse to a stitching pony. Also a super cushiony seat for my rear.
Thanks again for being a role model! This is what I show my pupils who say "I can't do that, I'm a girl". Can't what? They may not take it from me but they take it from you :)
Quick question. The plans say to cut both rails from a 48” blank of 2x10. A 2x10 off the shelf is generally 9 1/2” but how do you get 2, 5 1/2 “ pieces from a 2x10 in the first place?
I’d take that up with the author of the plans, I used them as a general design but modified for my own needs and used reclaimed (not dimensional) lumber.
Anne of All Trades same thing here ... I suppose I was really asking how you dealt with it....I’m just cutting it down the middle... either way... and I know it was a year ago.. but, nice build. And thanks for responding.

Love the tractor seat! Shave horses are amazingly technical, yet simple in their design. Nice!
I like that you are smiling pretty much throughout the entire time lapses! I can tell you really love this!
Your mastery of all of the skills needed to even think of this project is dizzying. It's inspiring and something to shoot for in the coming years but... Wow... you are a wood working super hero!!!
Awww shucks I don't know about that, but I do appreciate the support and encouragement! Onward and upward!
Shew wee.. finished a dutch tool chest with bread boarded ends.. now gonna start on a shave horse!...thanks for your help a while back on the dutch tool chest ☺
So glad to hear it! Moving on and moving up! Shavehorses are fun
Watching you sit in the farmers seat made me smile. Great work! Keep moven!
I'm loving the metal seat idea that you have incorporated - very clever...
Great Job. Love your peaceful garden
Love the shaving horse Annie, tractor seat steps it up a notch, and your little sewing machine on your desk adds the special touch. 😃
Thanks for watching! I love that little sewing machine.
Best build ever... love it so much
Cool shave horse. I like that the wood has a story and now it has another purpose.
Thank you!
My favourite wood shave on youtube. Love the tractor seat. Santa T shirt kinda cool as well! Many thanks for posting and hope your dreams all come true.
Thank you too!

Oh I’ve already got bees ;) I’ll be bringing my equipment ;)
Watching this, reminded me of the channel "Mr. Chickadee'. It's fascinating to watch him make all his one stuff with old style/traditional methods and tools.
I'll have to check that out! Thanks for the recommendation!
You never cease to amaze me !
😊👍👍👍 incentive . Been on my list way to long...as well as a stitching pony
Make a stitching attachment for your horse!
Anne of All Trades great idea and had thought about it but I'm lazy lol.... Leather is usually winter basement activity. I'd have to drag it in and out 😊
