Some people just find a smoother style of surfing more appealing. I haven’t seen a long boarder on any video that comes close to the original style from the 60s. There is no need to go back and forth to the nose five times on one wave. It’s ampy. I don’t find surfing like this even fun. I like to flow with the wave, not just run around on my board. Do you call everyone that doesn’t like the same flavor ice cream you do “bitter”? That’s sounds pretty bitter and judgmental.

When it comes to surfing each his/her own. There are certain things I don't like to see as well. As a lifelong short boarder of 30+ yes now I can't stand watching the WSL. It's just awful surfing. I mean they're all talented big-time no doubt but it's just way to aggressive.
