@@foxlover03 I slit the noodle length wise and set it snug on the pole. Secured it with zip ties. I used 2 noodles. Cut the flower stems and poked them into the noodles. It came out gorgeous
Thank you so much! Your instructions were perfectly clear! I have a small business and there are times I don’t need my canopy tent but I still want my 8ft banner behind me for added signage and this was perfect! I cut my 2- 8ft poles in half and used a coupling to attach them so they could break down and easily fit in my Jetta. I like that your cuts gave us the options for either 2- 2ft “feet” or 1- 1ft and 1- 2ft “feet” depending on the venue and if we’re against a wall or not! And lastly it’s November 2023 and my total at Home Depot was $43 (including tax) Not bad at all! Thanks again!
I’m so so thankful to come across your video! My sister and I are trying to put together a baby shower for her first grandchild and we’ve never thrown a big party like this! I had no idea how we would hang the backdrop but now I do!!🎉 thank you so so much!! I’m definitely going to watch more of your videos!!❤
Thank you so much! I did this for my sister in laws baby shower and it was perfect! I was able to get everything from Lowe's, the total nowadays is around $60 now with the pipe cutter, even though Lowe's has on their website they cut pipe none of the employees could help me with that lol. So I had to buy the $13 pipe cutter! Overall though this was great and so easy to put together, I will be using it for my baby's bday next month and a bridal shower later this year!!
Thank you so much for making this video. I am a DIY Bride and wanted a photo backdrop for my Bridal Shower. I needed an inexpensive stand to hold up the curtains and this would do it.
Many thanks for this! Thanks for being concise with the plans and measurements and NOT giving us your life story first hahaha! Just built this to use at my wedding!!
Hi Donna, That means so much to me, thank you. What kind of events do you plan? I've mainly been a non-profit event planner, but am getting more into party planning.
Thank you as you saved me £35 for a backdrop and i paid £12 for the pvc pipes and joints. I just made one today and I cut the two top bars in halve and joined them for ease of transporting them. I added a front and rear bar for stability and yes I did cut them in half as well.
Just made this for my daughters 3rd birthday and for every event here after! Took me about 20 minutes to put together without help but THANK YOU!! The people at Lowe's even cut it for me 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Thank You for sharing this tutorial my daughter in law and I are trying to make our family's events as special as they are to us. We love and live for the joy we bring to them. Thanks to your showing us how to make this backdrop you've made possible for us to create what we once only dreamed was possible. 🥰🎈🤩🎈😍🎇🤗🎉👏💜
Glad to hear your Home Depot helped you! When I asked our local HD, the guy working that department scoffed, “No, I stopped cutting PVC years ago. All those SOCCER MOMS wanting it for their BANNERS.” He literally rolled his eyes, told me he had other things to do, and walked away.
I just found you from a link in Dorm Room Mamas, on how to set up photo backdrops for graduation parties! I need to be able to do that in about 3 weeks, and this is the easiest assembly I've ever seen! I'm going to make several- photo backdrop, makeshift screen for video of pictures of the graduate, and a backdrop for the table with memorabilia from her skating career, through high school..... Thanks for the easiest part of seeing my only child grow up! LOL!!
I drew out plans for something like this and will be building it this weekend. Before I started, I thought "Someone must have done this before." So I checked TH-cam and found your wonderful detailed instructions. One variation I am going to try is to put a third cross piece on the floor between the legs, strapped across the rear facing legs. Also considering capping the pvc tubes and filling them with sand or gravel for weight. Hopefully this will increase the stability of the whole construction.
Thank you for this great project! I'm making a Hocus pocus party for my Grand-daughter. This is perfect for the Sanderson sisters backdrop I bought.🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for this great video it’s just what I needed for a quick screen I’m 61 and I’m gonna give it a try - you have made it look very easy to put together.
Thank you for this video! I'm was going to have a dinner at my house for Easter but it will rain on that day & my garage is an eyesore. I was trying to figure out to put up a partition of some sort in my garage & this is perfect! Thank you. I'm going to Lowe's today! I believe I need to make atleast 3 walls.
I watched a few of these films on how to make these back drops out of pvc pipes. This is the best one by far, Thank you for your time and for sharing it with us
Thank you so much for your instructions on how to build this frame. I was considering buying a cheap frame online but all the reviews were very mixed & I hated to throw away money. This will be perfect for our church functions and family birthdays. God Bless you!!
Im totally going to build this for my wedding selfie booth for my guests. Im so glad I dont have to buy an 80$ stand that Ill never use again! Thank you so much :)
Well done. I have been looking for simple backdrops and structures as I am organising my sons 21st. Not only did you provide a good video, but you also provided the plans, the instructions and other little tips like weights on the bottom. Look forward to watching more.
One solution to added stability is to use 40 SCHEDULE PVC pipe which is thicker & stronger than what I used, which was only 20 Schedule. A center post also keeps it from sagging.
Thank you so much for this video! I need something nice and wide to make room for a balloon arch & kiddos in the middle. So these measurements are perfect!!
Thank you for this video. I have a large 2 car garage and was trying to find a way to use half of it for a gathering and block the view of the other half because looking at lawn equipment and tools wasn't very attractive. I made 3 of these to go across and it was perfect!
Oh my goodness, THANK YOU so much for this video!!! My son's 1st bday party is literally 1 day away & I'm having a backdrop banner & balloon garland & didn't even think of where it was going to hang. You are a life saver!!!
Thank you so much for the idea! I will do this for my daughter's birthday! ❤ You helped me a lot I literally dont have idea on how to have this and to save money at the same time!
I love this. I'm definitely going to do this, as it will help start me up with my small business. Thanks so much. May your business always prosper lady :)
I was wondering how to create a PVC backdrop for video conferencing for ZOOM green screening.... This will be an inexpensive alternative during this pandemic. Thank you so much for sharing. GREAT JOB!
$34 in Naples Fl. Home Depot + purchased some clamps at Walmart. We bought a Christmas backdrop from Amazon. Have to adjust the Elbows and T’s to square it up, but for a home party use it beats the price of a professional one.
I really thank you for this video.. this is simple and easy to understand..a plus plus for adding the measurements down below.. great backdrop😊😊😊..thanks a million times
Thank you so much for this video!! I wish I would have found it a year ago !!! And also ...I’m not even understanding why anyone would “thumbs down “ this !!!
Wow please post more decor ideas I'm doing an event course but covid cause it to pause, however am planning my son birthday party for this August and was thinking of different party decor ideas. Am really going to use this backdrop idea with the pvc pipes.
This is made for lighter curtains. When we added our backdrop vinyl banner and 3 disposable table cloths, it fell over because of the weight. I taped the connectors together and propped it against a wall. It held up with the balloons we added later.
Just my opinion I would add 2 tee fittings for the middle to the top with another pipe like you did at the end to make it a bit sturdy to hold the fabric so it don’t sag in the middle. But that’s awesome what you do thank you ❤❤❤
Loved this! I am using this and your DIY PVC Pipe backdrop to make a backdrop set up for my kids birthdays! I have 3 kids and I always have a cake table with treats and normally I end up setting up a background against a wall but this would really be much more convenient! thanks!
Hello, thank you for this video. I’m looking for ideas on how to set up for a booth rental backdrop ideas to hang my wreaths that I will be displaying.
I need to know how those tiny picket fence trays were made!!! My daughter will be 2 and im having a picnic in the garden theme! Id love to know for last minute touches!!
I did this for my daughters Quinceanera. I used pool noodles on the top pole to add flowers. Came out so beautiful.
Wow great idea 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Do you know what size holes are in the pool noodles? I was wondering if these 1" pvc pipes would fit in them? Great idea though.
@@foxlover03 I slit the noodle length wise and set it snug on the pole. Secured it with zip ties. I used 2 noodles. Cut the flower stems and poked them into the noodles. It came out gorgeous
@@staceycasta did you put the curtains on first, then put the noodles over the curtains on top?
@@angelicagamboa299 yes exactly. The curtains then the pool noodle on top. It's a long floral arrangement that sits snug on the PVC.
