    I usually struggle with videos that introduce tech without providing the motive behind the technology. You did really well in supplying the motivation!

    Similar Network Switch or Pub/Sub service of GCP?....but my doubt howmuch time can kafka hold pending messages in it? Any retention period? Does it has any storage classes for cost optimization like s3 classes? And howmuch Memory it occupies in GBs/TBs to handle millions of Records, Is it Cached/Persistent?

    Wouldn't it be possible to send and receive notifications/data from restapi hooked up with react or angular ?? I am not quite clear what problem does Kafka solves for us??

    • @kuldeepsidhu1541
      @kuldeepsidhu1541 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      REST API call will be synchronous. If the destination system is down, it will give error. Kafka helps us in achieving asynchronous communication. If you want something to be processed in async, you can put a message in Kafka, consumer/subscriber will pick the message and start processing when it comes online.
