The TH-U Ecosystem: Modeling + Capturing + IR processing

- TH-U is the only amp simulator which includes the MODELING, CAPTURING and IR PROCESSING features in a single plug-in, both for computer and mobile devices. This tutorial explains the differences of these three modeling technologies with practical examples.

Having all of them in the same plugin is a huge advantage: it allows to recreate almost any guitar setup without using chains of multiple plug-ins. All the soundchains can be saved into presets, loaded with no sound interruptions, automated by MIDI and shared between computer and mobile devices by keeping the same sound quality.
So I have tried all the competition including TONEX. I always come back to Overloud THU which is a complete package with the rig player, amps and effects galore. The sound quality is very top class, better than a lot of other sims in my opinion. Keep on doing what you do Overloud and I look forward to see what comes next from you guys.

You guys are almost there... the UI on TH-U needs a complete overhaul... best software tones in the world though!

Pedals before amp
Amp and cab processing
amplitube style mixer and rack fx section (there is something weird with reverb and delays, all my setups are about 1 to 12% of mix knob, more is just muffle main signal too much maybe reason is that parallel processing needed, but i already used split for dual amp setup).
Also i couldn't setup spring reverb to similar for princeton reverb style sound. Spring wobble is too quiet comparing to overall fx ampbience wich added even at lovest "time" and "mix" values
I have them all (competition), but still using only TH-U. The Supercab is the most valuable thing I ever used!. It is a pain to get multiple mics in front of a cab right without cancellation issues, but with Supercab some "magic" happens and it is easy to get yout own IR right...
First wish: I would like to see optional bigger characters / wider space for the Bankk/Preset picker, since my sight is not the best and it is hard to read it while playing guitar...
Second wish: A MIDI feedback would be great! Right now I can't use the control lights on my footswitch (Pacer)
Third wish: an external input in order to integrate my tube amp or a pedal within the signal flow. Right now, I am using two instances in order to do that, but probably this is something easy to implement... 🙂
And yes, capturing for customers would be cool, but is not as important as long there is no hardware as well. So: Don't mess up TH-U!!! (long term customer with wy too much captures...)

I wish you guys would release a "TH-U Pedal" that can run profiles and amp models. I have the ToneX pedal and it's great. The provided profile are mostly mediocre to my hear, but there are great profile made my users that are up to par or better than what TH-U can do. The game is getting tight.

I love your plugin I use it every day, there is just one thing missing to make it perfect, the possibility of capturing your own material, do you think you will include this option in the future? It seems to me that amplitube offers this option...
One question: is it possible to create the IR of the complete virtual TH-U setup, including pedals, amp and cabinet?
Hello. Your literature does NOT list TH-U as being compatible with FL STUDIO 21 DAW. Is there a reason for this? I am using the slate digital audio version of your TH-U and it seems to work okay so far as a plugin. Why do you not feel your product is compatible with FL STUDIO? Thank you.

Franky I was in love with Thu for years. But now I’m using ToneX for capturing my own amps. And it’s the best profiling/capturing system I know… you should contact the creator of free project NAM neural amp modeling who make a competitor, even more accurate but still in beta. Offer to work with him or Thu will slowly die, despite great effects…
There is nothing like plugging guitar into TH-U for those great 80s lead tones. Tonex doesn't come even close. There are great captures in Tonex for sure, but it's far from the "be all and end all".
The problem is that all of the models are unusable. You can’t even categorize your filter on green orange and red type of of captures. And they’re not sortable or filterable so that you can’t find a specific one with a certain type of preamp or effect. So it’s just endless hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of presets with no way to filter and you’ve got to go through each one of them. I bought premium on iPad and it’s great but it’s not as Useful as if there were less of them that you could categorize and filter on. if they would just add being able to filter and green orange and red that would be a huge improvement and having to have to scroll through the entire freaking list
