Hi C Yorke. The way I am trying to explain in the video is to 1. restart the device and 2. Run factory reset when it is restarting. Now for some devices it might be different way to achieve this. Please google for your particular device how to do it and it should solve your issue.

I told him I already have a new tablet and that everything was transferred except for my notes. All I am interested in is getting my notes out of the old tablet. I wish that info would magically transfer. Lol Anyway, the tablet is now charging and the power is off. What else should I do?

FYI, mine was the battery, I had to take it apart and re-solder 3 resistors I think they were, all working now, it's called a dry solder joint, this is where the solder over time starts to get weak, so what will happen is when it's cold it will start, the soon as the solder heats up it disconnects and reconnects, I am a hobbiest electronics btw so I know a fair bit.

Hi buddy, basically you need to restart your device as a hung device or device in boot loop won't let you factory reset itself. Once device is restarting, that is when you press appropriate buttons to send the device to factory reset. I hope that helps.
This might help Ensure the device is powered off. (located at the bottom) + Volume up button (located on the top-left edge) + Power button (located on the top-left edge to the left of Volume buttons) until Samsung logo appears then release. From the Android recovery screen, select wipe data/factory reset.

Taking battery out and leaving the device dead for couple of minutes and plugging the battery back in might solve the issue. I am surprised that non of your buttons are responding, have u considered changing them too?
@@iHelptube "Changing the buttons?" How is that even possible? Also, the battery doesn't just come off. An actual repair shop might be able to take it out. But the battery isn't the issue. It doesn't turn on or off. Just looping while trying to update the OS.

Hi Cape, it might be worth googling the combination of buttons that takes your A7 to restart mode. The second process of booting remains the same.
