I'm a 69-year-old trucker. Got off the road when I turned 65 after a lifetime. I see a lot of trucking shows, as you got. Most of my life was decks. Nevertheless, I like you! I like your cool, calm attitude. The pride you take in your ride. The knowledge you have of your craft. The positive attitude you portray on camera. I've had several drivers because I've always had three units. Two to cover expenses. One to make money is the way I always had it figured. Just watching you on your TH-cam program I would most likely hire you if I was looking for a good tradesman !
.. a lot heavier tractor as well it'll do a job and make you some good money. Feel the way you do every time I traded the tractor I drove. Your tractor has been your home for many years. Lots of things went on in there. Your best thoughts about life took place there. Best conversations... Trading a truck off is the same as moving to another house and neighborhood. Won't be long you'll fall in love with it... I see you already starting to .. Good luck
I like your newer ride. I enjoy listening to the music you add to your videos. Who is the artist(s)? I would like to see if I can get a CD or whatever.
Thanks you! I also really like the old one, it was just hard to fit all my tools and equipment in the small boxes. As well as it needed a bunch of repairs that the company didn’t want to deal with at this time so we decided to park the truck for the time being
I've never been a Kenworth fan. However, if you like it, who cares what others think? As you said "cant blame others if they try to better themselves". I have always been a Peterbilt fanboy, even though I will never get to drive one due to military injuries. Enjoy the 'new' 389 truck.
You might want to try different idle rpm to see if you can find one with less vibration. My last truck vibrated horribly at the lowest idle speed but smoothed right out at a bit above 700 rpm. Good luck with your new truck.
Yes this is great advice! My friend (Lindon) who used to drive the truck mentioned the same thing. Turn up the idle a bit and it smoothens out. Thanks for stopping by👍
Looks pretty good from the inside and outside try it out for a while and see what you think that's the only thing I think about it but it looks pretty cool
I would take the paint of the fuel tanks looks better and less maintenance and if you manage get the service work done alll in one, One Nice rig brother, summer is on its way which make thing that bit easyer.
Thanks and yes very small. Lots of adjusting to get comfortable but the tool boxes makes up for it. I was running out of equipment space in the quick swap lol
If I was you driver get a nicer paint job I hate the black color but it’s up to you driver. It needs a fridge n cabinet or so to make it feel like home.

Great looking truck bro what your company doing with the old one
They’re parking it for a while. Needs an extensive list of repairs so when the time is right I’m sure they’ll get it done
Question for ya why don’t you pull the mirrors in on your tow vehicle just curious awesome video Though
Thanks for watching! And on the tow truck or on the unit I’m towing? Sorry I’m not understanding
@@HighwayHeavyHooker the one you’re towing so something don’t fly up and break the Mirrors
@@kennethjohnston6201 yea I usually fold them in but forgot this time lol
looks you have a nice truck! But it needs some TLC to start looking better! Strip the paint and go chrome!
Thanks i appreciate it!
I noticed that you have a service and engine light on, Hope it's not to serious.
Dpf filter I think needs replacing from what I’ve been told.
It's like sleeping with a new girlfriend...
Gotta get used to the New surroundings and you'll sleep like a champion
