I'm preparing a rebuttal letter to my insurance company and one to my state insurance commissioner and could really use the links to the studies referenced in the interview. Thanks!
My doctor is against combining the two and he said it isn’t an insurance problem. But then I hear about physicians approving both the cgrp and Botox use for migraines. It makes the decision very confusing as I’m sure there are plenty of women who use Botox for cosmetics reasons and also take a cgrp antagonist for migraines. There should be some kind of sample study showing this and the effects. I have intractable migraines and bruxism, so the use of both is appealing to me.
Hi and thanks for sharing your experience. I'm living with chronic daily migraine, and my neurologist has prescribed both (but insurance won't cover both). Do you mind sharing the reason(s) your doctor has for being against combining both? If it's a reason personal to your situation- of course no need to share! Just haven't heard any neurologists (unrelated to ins) against this, so I'm very interested to know for research purposes. Thanks- agree this is very confusing!
Could you do me a favor and provide links to the studies please?
Good morning! I work in a neurology clinic and we do have patients that we do this combination and it helped them greatly.
thats great. but does the insurance pay for both? I think evenif yes it depends on the doctors certification
Thanks for your great work, information & delivery is fab! Do you have any videos informing re CGRP? Thanks
Can you please reference the actual studies you are referring to?
