I reckon the delay and phaser helped me sold this one but yeah I did spend time on trying to capture the sound. Your pedal was also a big component of course!

You are too kind, I am really not that great with technique, this solo was a big effort for me and hard to get right. But if you love something this much it gives you the drive to keep going until you more or less pull it off.

What a brilliant cover of what is surely one of the best rock solos of all time.. SO well done. Congrats. No easy task I should imagine to get it all down. There are so many changes in the solo. I wonder of there are key changes as well as melodic changes. It is so inventive and fascinating and never seems to end yet never gets repetitious. It is constantly evolving and mysterious and evocative. Any wonder Blackmore is considered a genius of the instrument. As a pro, what a great effort to cover what must surely be a very challenging solo. Well done.

@@Hector-yl1kh thanks so much. It was indeed challenging to first of all learn what he does and then try to play it. With compley solos like this there’s a fight between playing and remembering the notes vs feeling. But is was so mich fun. This is truely a legendary solo.

I have no doubt it was a challenge. It is, but you did a brilliant job of it. The Tab you provided is priceless for budding guitarists though I'm sure myself and other students (and I'm 65 and have gone back to lessons) will see it as a goal not something within reach just yet!!! I love Blackmore and Rory Gallagher - my two fave players, Of course there are many others I love as well.
You've done so very well to bring this absolutely classic rock tune to the ears of players who might think such things are unreachable. Spot on champ. And thanks for the TAB. That alone is worth its weight in gold for budding players.

@@Hector-yl1kh it’s always a good idea to pick a teacher’s brain at any level. If you ever want to get into any Blackmore specific thing for just a one off lesson/session, I am available.

@@DogwithtwoBones The accolades are well deserved. However, I wonder -f or the sake of budding players could you elaborate on the intricacies of the solo? What key is the tune in? What is the tempo? What chord changes are played over and what scales are used by Blackmore during the solo for example? Certainly sounds like he uses harmonic minors but what else? He is noted for using Phrygian dominants. You also showed, the solo uses all the neck of the guitar to produce its wonderous tonality. Does the song use a series of modes? Sorry - lots of questions. I appreciate you are not running a Rick Beato style channel. You did such a great job on this cover - maybe you should. You obviously know what you are talking about as a player. Don't just make money on TH-cam - teach. So many of us would love to learn.

@@Hector-yl1kh I have videos on youtube that have a breakdown of the song or solos technique, so a teaching video not just a demonstration with tabs. But analytics show that people barely watch those longer videos. Therefor I stick to this and offer regular or just one off skype lessons.
As for this solo it does have a lot of chord changes. I am totally sure what key or mode do they spell out because I rather focus on the chords shapes he is playing out of. After the initial solo in E (where Blackmore uses mainly the E phrygian dominant, also adds the Eb moving into the double harmonic aka gypsy territory he also goes back to E harmonic minor) he goes into that trill and the backing breaks down you can see most of the chord shapes in the licks. Starting from G minor, E major, A minor, B major C sharp minor and so on. By the end of the solo he is in B phrygian dominant. Then goes back tot he song which is E phrygian dominant that is the same scale as A harmonic minor BTW.

Thanks! Running a guitar store in SD sounds awesome just like the 1987x. I have the SV20 which is very similar so i'd suggest to jump the channels, presence and bass at 0, middle around noon, Treble to taste but between 9 and 12 pm for me and both volumes at either noon or 1 pm. But you'll need an aiwa drive pedal like the BSM Galaxy, Guitarslinger RB1011 or my favourite Mgalbu's custom pedal.
