    What an absolutely beautiful monk. This is what's so wonderful about the internet and TH-cam in particular. Out of nowhere you receive a crystal clear moment. Thanks for taking a body in this tricky time, Roshi...

    I find it distasteful that some Buddhists still revere a man who was an alcoholic, a drug user, a womaniser and a thoroughly reckless person. He crashed his sport car into a cafe because he was high on drugs! He gave dharma talks while drunk. I cannot see how such a person could be considered “enlightened”.

    Hi Bill, thank you so much for this video. I would like to add Polish subtitles to it, if you do not mind for the Polish public. Are you ok with opening it to community contribution for a while?

    • @WMCScheffel
      @WMCScheffel  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Saren - I'd be very happy for you to do this! Let me know if there is any way I can help. Not quite sure what you mean by "community contribution."

    • @Saren100
      @Saren100 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, Bill. It seems to me that the option of adding subtitles is locked for this video. You can simply unlock it in video manager. It should enable me to add the Polish version. I think it will be better if I send you a tutorial rather then try to explain it :-). th-cam.com/video/EjCU0gr18g8/w-d-xo.html

    The legacy of Trungpa and his son Miphan is one of sexual abuse. There behavior diminishes the Dharma !!!

    • @sarahfrasher3513
      @sarahfrasher3513 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think this would be true of so many of our teachers and gurus wouldn't you say? They are still human and subject to all aspects of samsara. And in that way are living examples of the Dharma not diminishing it.

      @@sarahfrasher3513 On the level of relative truth, there’s a difference between being an unenlightened, mistake-prone Dharma practitioner and being a sexual abuser. Karmically, the actions of both produce very different results and lead to very different rebirths. So gurus being unenlightened in samsara isn’t an excuse for abuse

      @@Dpiiiius oh yes, in no way am I making an excuse for sexual abuse. The harm it causes is self evident. I am speaking in terms of absolute truth in the Dharma.

      None of us are realised enough, (if at all) to comment on the behavior of Trungpa. If you think you are, or that you are right to do, so then you are being deceived yet again by the small mind that cannot comprehend the actions of such realised beings.
