- Seaplanes were always on engineers’ minds pretty much since the very inception of the aircraft industry. In War Thunder, you can find quite a few aircraft of this type in two different classes of aviation. There are seaplane fighters… And seaplane bombers. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Today we’re going to speak about the best seaplanes in the game!

speaking of sea planes add the ones that you have on ships to the tech trees. Just make it so after you finish rank one they become available so the aren't required to move to the next rank can be ignored if someone doesn't want them
Yes please, would love to fly those without the ship tree.
the os2u and ar-196 are no longer obtainable in the tech trees, but can still be played in all modes by those who own them.

@@oteri_ the Ar-196 was a event plane but there is different versions of it and I believe the one Graff Spee and Admiral Hipper is different from the event one

You missed two of my favorite seaplanes, the OS2U Kingfisher and the Martin PBM-1 Mariner
I loved mariner too when I Got it first time about a month ago but now it get destroyed : (
The pbm is my favorite bomber in the game
Also they forgot to add the Japanese Kawanishi H6K4
The PBM-1 Mariner was the practically the best bomber at it’s tier with a max payload of 4 1,000 pound bombs, 5 .50 cal machine gun turrets, decent flight performance, and high survivability
@@CaptainCrimsonCommenter pbm-3 gets 8 naval mines which have the explosive equivalent to the 2,000lb bomb effectively giving it one of the b-29s payload options at 3.0
Q: What tank has the slowest turret traverse speed? I know that the 105mm Sherman fully upgraded has a traverse speed of 4.2°/s and I'm not sure if anything has a lower traverse rate.
The STRV 103 has the slowest. that's because it's turret (technically) cant turn at all.
I think the strv 103 or the Achilles would be slower
It might be the M10 Wolverine, that thing's turret turns so slowly
What about the T-70/T-80 ?
I think the first panzer IIIs have a very slow one
okay but france should get a few seaplanes too like the potez 141 or the Lioré et Olivier LeO H-47
Or maybe the Latécoère 298.
from fighters to bombers they could make an entire line of seaplanes in the french tech tree even without counting allied equipment...
m8 the french tech tree already has torpedo bombers while having no navy in game

With the zero seaplane you can just drag it along the runway to get rid of the main and gear floats.

the downside of heavy floats can be negated by just getting rid of them
unless all of ur fuel is stored in them
The PBM floats retracted during takeoff to reduce drag. My father fought on one in the Pacific

And also, I think specifically the "fuel in floats" the dude was talking about refers to the N1K1, A6M2-N, and F1M2 among others, they have a fuel tank in their large center float, but if you fly right you can pop those floats off. The PBM's a seaplane and fuel is in the hull and not a pontoon.

The HE-115 twin-engine, twin float torpedo bomber is one of my favorites. Also the Grumman J2F-5/6 Duck. It has a single .30 cal. mg and underwing bombs or depth charges.
Speaking of seaplanes, could we please have some more of them in the researchable trees? Please?
Add the Convair Sea Dart and the Martin Seamaster and you'll have some really unique seaplane at higher ranks.

Bv 238 has to be the best
My favorite float plane is the mariner, awesome name, awesome look, decent performance even in higher ranks overall an underrated air/seacraft
Bv 238 , i enjoy taking it out everytime,despite the fact that i get rekked absolutely everytime
I just wish it was rank III, would possibly buy it if it was. For its price and BR it kinda belongs there.
There is such a joy in hunting the sky whale, Send everything through the sunroof in a vertical dive from 1 km or more above and you will do ok....him not so much.
@@icaindianen i kinda wish if pilots were incapacitated another crewmate can take over ,12 in that thing surely someone can take over the pilot.... i'm so tired of my pilots getting one shotted when all gunners and radio operators are alive

We need naval maps in air rb like midway or saipan, using sea planes I always play in berlin or stalingrad or thie kind of maps. We want pacific maps back!
SAME!!! As a Japanese main and frequent USA player I really miss the pacific maps. Also maybe have historical battles with Japan attacking midway or Pearl Harbor and America defending, or America and Britain attacking Germany over the Ruhr. You know, like RB USED to be until Sweden came along and ruined matchmaking.

I think you simply have to mention the BV-138 for the armament that it carries At it’s Br
Yeah and if u fly low you have complete coverage with 20mm cannons, against biplanes! I never get less than 2-3 kills with this thing.
The Catalina is a great way of capping zones
BV 138 needs mention, for a rank 1 has two 20mm cannons, rare for a Rank 1, and 6x 50kg bombs (missing the 150kg bombs)
Do 24 is the only seaplane operated by both axis and allies, really should be added.
Be-2 is a FINE seaplane, yet is an impossible to get, and USSR lacks a good seaplane!

Italy has a BUNCH of seaplane, oddly missing

1. Add the ship seaplanes to main trees.
2. Add seaplanes to Italy (beside ship seaplane)

I personally love the OS2U due to its small size and decent bomb load (for a rank 1 floatplane)

Gutan tag warthunder! I have one super big question are you going to bring back the Maus? I’ve been a fan of the tank before warthunder and when I herd the game had it I got super excited then when I was leveling up to get it y’all took it away. You don’t have to give me a specific time when you’re going to bring it back just a simple yes or no will do. Oh and always keep those Updates coming I’m super excited for what comes next!

Well... you failed to mention the Sunderland's fixed offensive nose guns for strafing ground targets - and shredding the occasional unlucky fighter or bomber in the wrong place at the wrong time

What happens when you hit an ATGM or similar launchers tube on a tank with rounds? Do they explode?
If you love seaplanes so much you'd have a spot on naval maps where they can repair and re-arm. like you can capture sea points with them why not have it where it re-arms and repairs you too?
There are landing areas for float planes in a bunch of maps. And if there aren't, you still can land them on the airfield

While all these boats are prickly to take down, very few survive a fusillade of bullets through the sunroof.
Q: Will you be adding new ways to get Silver lions such as using real life money to buy them or get them in the warbonds shop?
you can get sl by spending real money (not sure why anyone would do that) by buying golden eagles and then using them to buy silver lions, you can techically get them from the wb shop from crates and also you can buy sl boosters

BV 238 is a champ, i can't count the times they tried to get the "'easy'' bomber target and got shredded.
If you just ram off the floats on the Japanese planes you have very good planes on very low br
you are bearly able to use any to land on water since all the big ocean maps we used to have in warthunder are taken out

Churchill lll needs ad on track armour , the kv1 Zis 5 has the extra bit so on the front hull which makes it 75mm so why can’t the Churchill lll which historically had extra angled tracks put on the hull & turret ffs because no matter what you do to angle the panzer h will make it through the turret .
TBH i feel asif since we got HMS Hood we should soon be getting more battleships i think that would be cool

How can you do a seaplane comparison without a Heinkel 115? The primary German combat seaplane of WWII?
Instead you added the Blohm & Voss 138 to the game, the seaplane used primarily for patrol and rescue.
You would think adding the Dornier 24 would make more sense than the BV 138, as the Do 24 had a respectable bomb load and didn't look like a UFO.
I love the mariner because i only play the American tree ;-:, but it’s for sure a better Catalina

There 2 types off Seaborne planes which are
1.FLOAT PLANE..
2.SEA PLANE..
FLOATPLANE is a type off aircraft usually smaller single engine aircraft that uses 'FLOATS' as its main floating device to land and floats on water like The AR196, MITSUBISHI A6M2N etc when a SEAPLANE like PBM MARINER,SHOR SUNDERLAND,H8K EMILY etc..are a type off aircrafts where it was specifically design and hv a watertight hull and bulkheads so the aircraft whole fuselage become buoyant when they land on water and can sits or floats on water safely..
it also operates mainly on water but some aircraft were equipped with landing gears so they canland on an airstrip like a normal planes. example: PBY CATALINA
