Best orignal rasam recipe ever. olden days this is how food was cooked n secret is using hands (that's why v wash hands n cook can't show every detail in video), n garlic with skin is so aromatic for all tadka. Hand mashed r more tasty than Chopped tomatoes. Appreciate he's learnt cooking frm previous generation.
Thank you so much. Indian parents of this generation are failing their children and I'm losing my cultural cuisines. Although I may never ever get family recipes, at least I can learn some basics to experiment on my own. I truly appreciate this.

Yes that is how I have learned to make it. It just tastes awesome and the sourness is so good. I think if the tongue can speak it will comment on it. Such a simple dish but tastes so good. People who are recovering from fever are advised to have it as the tongue would have turned bitter and besides it is a soothing dish. Thanks for sharing.
Superb recipe and quiet good on fast forward, that's how it should be, although that mortar and pestle sounded more like a machine gun, Lol. But seriously, this is a good presentation. People don't like to sit and watch someone peeling and cutting each onion and garlic etc. Good job mate. 👌👍🏻

Don't burn it. Also switch off the heat when it's starts boil.
