- This is a $490,000 Gravity Jet Suit. You might have seen this futuristic “jet pack” around social media being mainly used by professional pilots or military personnel. The company that makes them is called Gravity and tested their first flight back in 2016, they now have a jet suit that’s ready for the general public.
At Supercar Blondie, we have driven some crazy concept cars, submarines, flying cars and other mind-boggling vehicles, but today Sergi will go through a crash course training program and see if he can learn to fly this jet suit in just half a day.

Come to think of it, to increase flight time you kind of have to overcome that fuel to weight barrier. I wonder how large of a fuel tank would be practical before it gets goofy. Really nice engineering for sure tho

That half a million price tag is 😮. But like all technology it'll be cheaper, but jet engines are pretty tough to engineer. I work for an aviation company, as an engineer. So tbh it might get around the price of a car, but regulations will probably make it so you can't have one.

I can just barely accept that price accounting for R&D expenses. However, a competitive example can be produced by any devoted engineer for less than $25,000. Heck one of the first examples built on an underfoot standing-style propulsion deck platform sold for $10,000 and its performance stats were similar if not better, I'd have to check.
I agree that if I didn't know better and had the money, Ironman couldn't stop me from buying it. What an amazing feat millions will achieve now thanks to this invention. Bravo!

Those suites are practicly useless is a real time combat scenario.
They are sitting ducks when they hit the sky for enemies to easily pick off cause the slow flight .
What's the use of being able to fly and also not shoot at the same time and be vulnerable .
Also bad when it comes to being strategic .
They easily giving away their position in open air Instead of just using the ground and brush as cover and use the ability to blend in with the environment .
What China invented for their military /invisible suites would be more perfect in a real combat scenario .
I also noticed it took the soldier almost 30 seconds to ready his weapon once landing .
If they are in a hot landing zone with tons of fire there way they are in serious trouble .
