Looking forward to seeing your subscribers grow in 2025! Please keep at it as your channel is one of the most creative, honest and helpful guitar channels on TH-cam.
Greta advice, and a timely reminder of things. I posted every day in TH-cam in 2024 and learnt a lot doing so. My channel has grown but I’m not doing any of it for numbers, I just enjoy it.
The most important part is enjoying it! Amazing that you posted every day. Wish I could have something even close to that kind of schedule. Just subbed to your channel. Cheers man.
This is why yours is such a great channel. You're honest and you give back to the community. Content purely for the sake of content delivers nothing of value. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Happy New Year! You're correct about Uncle Larry. Part of his charm is his "low fi" recording. If he had a full video studio setup with polish and perfect lighting it wouldn't be the same. The fact that he has half his head cut off and plays directly into his propped up phone it exactly who he is!
I bought York Audio IRs which revived my Strymon Iridium because of your vids :) and your DGT SE vid was well considered in the own DGT SE purchase! You're one of my favorite guitar TH-camrs currently!
I see so many creators lean into negativity and it only works short term. Long term it's so bad for retention! And on a side note, it's true. I'm so amazed at how good gear is now. Everything I try is good! It's been forever since I tried a piece of gear, especially a pedal, that was bad. Guitars can be hit or miss, but even then it's mostly hits now.
1:23 🤯 The production quality of your videos is so high I assumed you had a main/prior career in video production. You clearly have a passion and aptitude for it - please keep it up!
Thank you so much. I really do love making videos so it’s been really fun figuring it out. Hasn’t always been as helpful for growing the channel but has made it really gratifying.
I admit I was initially one who ‘tuned out’ on an earlier long-form vid, but… you hooked me in on the Origin pedal reviews and I’ve since gone back to the earlier stuff and luv them!
I kinda have a 'youtube channel' but without the intention of being pick up or get money out of it. It's just a way to up my guitar practice game and sharing with my teacher. But I think you are a wise and honest man, and I always learn something from your video's, so to support your channel I watched this video till the end 😉 (...friendship, remember that...😄...and I like your humor as well)
I found your advice to be really inspiring and prescient! I plan on retiring soon and really want to build on my TH-cam channel (I've somehow managed to gain followers just posting shorts) but I really don't know what my niche would be. It seems like guitar focused channels are a dime a dozen with high skill levels of production so differentiating myself will have to be paramount!
Stoked to hear you’re going to focus on your channel. Shorts are a great way to get new followers. For niche you could make it personal. Retired and focusing back on music! That's a great message that I am sure would resonate with a lot of guys out there.
I have no experience with making videos, but I watch a ton, and I can say that (for better or worse), gear-focused videos probably get the most response/views.
@@nicolasmaurin182 haha I appreciate that. To be honest, the main reason I will always support them is bc they are the only company that said they love my crazy storylines and want to help me make them. I was rejected by so many brands and stores for a long time so for them to reach out to me is something I will always try to pay back.
Agreed. I will pass on a (potentially interesting) video if the audio is noisey and -4bB level. Similarly, I will pass on TH-cam shorts that are pure ear-rape.
Sage advice from one of the best to do it. Honored to have you mention me and happy we’re on the TH-cam journey together! Here’s to 2025 and beyond.
Appreciate you my man.
Your Silver Sky video was peak guitar TH-cam!!!! It’s so sad that the algorithm doesn’t reward that kind of content!
Thanks so much, Matt. That was a fun video and thrilled I was able to pull it off with the help of Tom.
Three things I always enjoy about your videos - positivity, polish, and production value. It's clear that you enjoy what you're doing . Thanks.
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that!
you run a great channel! frankly i'm surprised you don't have at least 100K subs!
100k soon I hope!
yeah buddy!

Appreciate that Eddie!

@ oh man, thanks so much for subscribing. Appreciate it. Agree, if not fun then why do it? I love posting on here, and have learnt so much.

Thanks so much. Enough digital waste out there. I try really hard to not contribute to it! haha

Really appreciate that! Glad to hear youre enjoying the Iridium again.
Found you with the Silver Sky video and stayed because your content is great, solid and fun. These tips are really great, thank you!
Appreciate you watching my man! Cheers!

Gotta keep it positive if only for longevity's sake. Cheers!

Appreciate the support and the kind words my man. And that sounds great for your channel. Use it! Don't let it use you! Cheers

Good stuff. Request: more instruction. Could be brief, small bits, or deep dives - whatever you think helped you, light bulb moments, etc.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback! Do you mean stuff that is youtube focused or guitar focused?
@@SuperdangerStudios ... was thinking guitar - song writing, learning the neck, music theory, lessons learned
@ copy that
Glad i discovered your channel. Finding the videos really helpful, however cost me $800, I bought a PRS DGT SE after watching your video.
haha sorry about that! But I hope you dig the DGT! Appreciate your support!
Great advice! Definitely a learned experience!
Thanks, Dan! Appreciate it.

That is true!
Great information! Thank you for taking the time out to help us. You're a true gentleman.
Glad I could help!
Mucha suerte con el nuevo año. Aquí estaremos como siempre . Salu2
Gracias!
Awesome vid!
Thanks so much!
Well, I actually like your long videos - just saying!
Amazing thank you.
"What is my Hot Dog?" The answer, it seems, lies within the question. Sage wisdom, Alex. You've given me something to chew on, here. 🤣
WHAT'S YOUR HOT DOG??
Great sweetwater commercial 😂 but still a very good video.
haha. I suppose any company would be able to help but Sweetwater really go above and beyond in customer service.
@ you’re a real PR pro 😉 by the way I really love your YT content.
