Same here, they remind me of 'Til Tuesday. Not so much the vocal but the groove and the music. In particular songs like "Looking Over My Shoulder"

I just read crying in H-mart and fell in love with the book and the author. As a Korean American who lost his mother in my 20's, I was sobbing throughout the whole book. So naturally, I really wanted to love her songs - but I just can't get into it *YET*. But I'll keep listening, buying, and hopefully she'll put out a song that grabs all of us (it could happen). But I notice her speaking voice getting huskier and huskier ... I wonder if she's doing that on purpose or if that is the affect of her smoking. Either way, it sounds great.

Great song and I love the band but she's not really an amazing vocalist live. Often pitchy, nasally head voice, not a lot of power. Most of her vocals are enhanced in the studio.
