Truly beautiful group of fish. I've never seen these 3 guys here in Trinidad. Leporinus Fasciatus has been a favorite of mine for many years. The last specimen I had grew to 14 inches long with an emerald green head color and bright orange/reddish throat. Wonderful content as always...and one day when I'm able I'll buy your book 🤞🏻
Thanks oliver for this video. Great information and amazing footage of these rare fish underwater, im sure it was not easy to get this footage! And your xingu biotope aquarium looks very nice!
We keep a group of 7 Anostomus ternetzi and I love them. Now I’m hyper focused on the Synaptolaemus latofasciatus. Just what I need, another tough to get your hands on fish to be obsessed with, lol. As always, really enjoy your content and the knowledge I glean from it.
The info you share helps make us keepers better keepers. I like biotope type/nature scapes. And always trying to learn more about the fish I keep or want to keep in the future. Invaluable what u are sharing!
Fascinating! Thank-you for capturing video of these wonderfully weird fish! I wonder what other bizarre fish are out there that we just haven't discovered yet.
They're not free at the supermarket either, are you trolling those videos too? They're not free preserved in formaldehyde at the university, are you trolling their videos too? Are the fish free in Florida where they are dying en masse? Do you protest ospreys pelicans Seahawks or fish food restaurants? They're not free in the belly of the turtle who just ate them, are you protesting turtles? Trollish behavior from an obtuse & unaware viewer to one of the best habitat videographer channels.

I've enjoyed your videography and your narration for some time now. Great info and facts. I love the production style and fish footage. Thanks for making your series! Totally made for fish geeks like me. Love it man! Great work

thank you, those two fish get along well, i have some ternetzi in my tank also.
We need an updated video on your giant Xingu tank
moved it to a smaller tank, and waiting for a new big tank to arrive. Not much change - there will be a fishroom video some time later this year.
Great video. Love hearing and seeing about the ecology of these fascinating creatures.
thank you.
🐣🐇🍀For the Algo
Great video. I have never kept any of these but maybe some day I will. They are so cool. Can't wait for your next 1
Thanks for watching!
@belowwater no worries. Love all your videos and have watched them for last 3 years maybe longer
I tried to go to your website, below water, but stopped due to many security warnings.
the SSL certificate expired, it will be back up in 24-48 hrs. I did not autorenew for some reason. Sorry for the inconvenience
it's fixed already. New SSL certificate is installed
Such a cool species. Definitely a cool idea for a biotope tank. Thanks for the awesome video.
Very interesting makes for an interesting subject to observe in the aquarium. I'm curious to see how these do long term. 👌
Excellent video! Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching!
Good job

Many thanks, Oliver👍🙂
Amazing fish and location.
Gnathodolus bidens - the anteater of the Orinoco! What superb footage. What, and how, do you feed them?
at first they would only feed on small particles stuck in lava rocks, but now eat pellets or frozen food in the open water, even flakes.
Fascinating! Thank-you for capturing video of these wonderfully weird fish! I wonder what other bizarre fish are out there that we just haven't discovered yet.
thank you. yes, some of the really weird fish are nocturnal also
@@belowwater Yes, that would make sense. Yet another filming challenge! 😁
Very interesting
Pls can u do a video of gulper catfish
What a truly bizarre mouth on the Gnathodolus!
was es nicht alles für unterschiedliche fische gibt in einen habitat, nur mit steine und wasser mit viel strömung...
Sir please do come to India and make a documentary of beautiful fishes in south and east part of india
The fish would hate it if they had been named after Biden.

Your in the wrong community to complain about this. Many endangered fish species have been saved by captivity as well.
