Old Boys his age lingering away in care homes but Charlie is still out there tearing it up! Even Jagger wouldn't be able to keep up with him. RESPECT Charlie.
I saw them live in my hometown back in 1983. I was 16 years old and was amazed that this «old man» still travelled around playing great punk music. And that’s 38 years ago!!! How old is Charlie Harper now? Also remember standing in front singing to «Crash course», and Charlie put out his mic to me and let me sing the last line :-)
First seen them in Glasgow, original line up with the Citizans and the Straps, I was 15 and still at school so 1981, Nick jumped of a 5 stack high load of speakers onto the stage, I'm also going to stay it was at the Mayfair in Sauchiehall Street, down the Charing Cross end, bring back these days XX
Getting sick of all this ' uncle' charlie crap...sure...hes a nice bloke and been there all along...i respect and appreciate that. But the uk subs have been and always will be one step behind. Theyve made some great great songs....and also some shite ones too.
I don't think a fender stratocaster Is the right guitar, not enough high end needs a les paul with some big fat beefy humbuckers or a lespaul junior with a p90 cranked up to 11

He's an amazing guy, doing what he wants til the end... No 9 to 5 grind, shit, I need to be more like him.

I have seen the subs many times
This has to be the worst guitar player I've ever heard heard with them.
But he is hilarious though. I enjoy a gig more when it's all cocked up. 😄
