The biggest problem for local engineering colleges is the basic attitude of lectures (I don't want to call professors for a reason (education qualifications)). How many of these engineering students were treated badly and in a reckless manner? The way lecturers talk when they see a low performing student is worse in our institutions. Unless professionalism comes into their job structures, students and colleges never strive. The faculty hiring in institutions should focus on manners and continuous behavioral assessment as well. This thing really makes a difference between eminent institutions like IIT's, VIT .. etc and a local institution. My generalization is based on a majority sample size rather than taking 100 percent into account. So, no offense to you, if you are one of the well-behaved lecturers.
