To be fair, you can still expect less from a region if they only have 1 insane team, 1 good team (FPX) and the rest are less than average (Trace had a fluke run). A lot of NA, EMEA, and APAC teams could have done better than the other 2 Chinese teams. Super happy to see how far the China teams have come this year and I'm sure they're only going to get more competitive every year but they can still be easily seen as weaker until they have more teams show some strength.

Probably one of the craziest storyline tournaments in VCT this year. The Sentinels are the Madrid winners and bring home their second international trophy. GenG are get first Pacific international trophy to Shanghai. Although the Heretics lost, second place in Shanghai and champions Seoul is no disgrace. Stax finally leaves the DRX team, Navi (formerly FPX) ends, NRG never reaches an international LAN, G2 (The Guard core) reaches highest ranking among Ascension group (7th/8th in Champions). PRX is exposed. lastly, EDG started the year in a very sluggish state, but made a full recovery and brought China its first Champions Trophy. It was a truly wonderful year.

Don't forget.. what the crowd sees on screen is still about 5 seconds later than what the actual players are seeing on screen. There's still a delay. Often you'll hear the players scream (after clutching) but the crowd are seeing it 5 seconds later

They may be rookies in pro scene but some of em couldve been playing since 2020 since valorant already released in their region back then. Chances are the chinese players started later. Even if they could still play through some other methods, the game not being available in their region meant they couldn't find competitive teams to scrim as easily. Basically, everything is harder.

all top 4 teams has accomplished a lot this tournament its ducking amazing Th proofed that their run in shanghai was NOT a fluke and they have what it takes to be the best Sen managed to bounce back after a terrible stage 2 and almost not being able to qualify for champions (Only did so by points and lev) and showed that they are deserving of that spot Lev managed to show the world that what happened in shanghai was a fluke and they ARE championship material And finally edg has placed China on the pedestal Though people are afraid of another game being dominated by only Chinese/Korean teams (NA league fans will have ptsd from this) Given the nature of vct (4 teams from each region strictly) EVERY region has the chance to win a trophy every year.
